In Philbin's philosophy, you dont need wide receivers. Or pass rushers. Or safeties. Well, even football players really, just put fans on the field and well win every game.

Thats how good his philosophy is!!!!!

I have no idea what point you're trying to make. What does this mean?

I find it hilarious that everyone points the "philosophy" to fix everything. People trying to justify passing on talented playmakers seem to enjoy pointing the finger and saying "ugh, you just dont understand". Believe it or not, it might help Philbin to have talented players. Shocking.

I would expect Martin to start at RT from day one. They will get Long re-signed and we are going to be in good shape at offensive line. When Tannehill takes over in 2013 he is going to be relieved that he will have a talented line protecting him.

Great optimistic/positive post..
Martin was rated really high... I think we will have a great O-line... I also feel good with John Jerry as the RG from what I have seen last year.

This is like doubling down on Tannehill. If he doesn't pan out as QB, this will have been a wasted pick. I'd rather make sure we have a good QB and WR before we worry about protecting a QB (who could end up being a bust).

Ireland only likes to pay guys for his "perceived" value and Long is looking to become the highest paid OL ever. I wouldn't be surprised to see Long in another uniform after this year.

So you think Philbin's philosophy is to avoid talented players?
