In my opinion, this the pick that will garner the most competition and bidding from the other teams, and thus will provide us the best opportunity to get great value for trading.

With the new scheduling of the draft, only 63 picks will be taken up to that point, and teams will have an entire evening to ponder who they HAVE to have on day 2. There will be a handfull of players that many predicted would have gone in round two that will be left, and teams will be salivating to have the opportunity to draft them. It will feel like another completely different draft.

I think Bill's phone will be ringing off the hook and I will be EXTREMELY suprised if we don't trade this pick.

Given that, what do you think we could get for this pick? How much is this pick worth in trade value?

:woot:

I don't know what we will get for that pick, but i agree with you. That first pick in the 3rd round will be the hottest pick in the draft.

I thought about that pick the other day and agree it's huge...maybe bigger in value than the first. The Dolphins have time to look over whats left and evaluate, an opportunity nobody else has.

I think it will be hot but i think that 32 will be the hottest...with the Pats losing their pick our 32 will essentially be a first round body for 3nd round value....plus there should be some slippage there from a few surprises that push em down. I wouldnt be surprised if we slide down a few spots and get antoher 3rd and a 4th....especially if there is a QB or two left with the Falcons, Chiefs, and Ravens possibly still needing one...there is the potential for bidding there and that is where the value jumps up IMHO

The 32nd pick will actually be less value. First round picks can be signed to 5 year contracts and 2nd's can sign for 4 years. Thats why the value in the trade chart drops so much. The 64th pick has a value around 270 in the trade chart and I wouldn't be surprised if we got close to 300 for it. I have been talking about this for weeks and I keep using Carolina as the example. If the Panthers wanted to trade up from the 74th pick I think we could get their 3rd and 4th in exchange for our 3rd, we would only be moving down 10 spots and pick up the 10th pick in the 4th round. A perfect spot to pick up our second offensive lineman

Maybe trade with Jax Jags . Give them JT and the #64 for Their #58,#71,#89#147
Thats JT for their 2nd round #58 and 3rd round #89 and our #64 for their 3rd #89 and 4th #147.
Or give them JT and #64 for #71,#89,#147,#158,#159 Then wed give them JT for their 2 round 3 picks #71,89 and our #64 for their 4the #147, and 2 5ths #158,159
