It´s almost impossible that we retain Coyle, Geno Smith had the best game of his career making him the only QB with perfect rating in the season ( seriously?? geno smith??? ) plus the fins had never allowed a 200+ yds receiver in all their history!!!! this is absolutely shameful. but the worst part is that the offense was better than the defense on most games, the defense lost at least 5 games, the second part of the season our defense just collapsed and I cant get it. today was the epitaph of the story. I think he is gone.

being said that who would you like at DC???

Which are our realistic options??
 
Nolan if Atlanta
Fires everyone?
 
Nolan already has been a DC here.

They need to find someone, this should be priority #1
 
god no to Nolan coming back. His Ds were overrated as hell.

when Nolan was here he did a pretty decent job but i think he has regresed a lot as a DC in fact Nolan and Coyle were Laughable today.

Why wouldn't you have that feature? Exit the thread go back and give him the thanks? You might not see it at first because you were posting in the thread.
 
No one will take this job unless Philbin gets an extension. He is a lame duck.
 
Not that I think it will happen but Miami might be a good situation for a Rex Ryan !

1) Philbin's leash is getting shorter

2)Miami needs a defensive coordinator that knows what he is doing
3)Ryan will have something to prove even if he isnt a head coach right away
So if Philbin is screwing up next year Ross could essentially have his next coach in the wings if Ryan becomes our D coordinator and it gives him a chance to bond with Lazor and other assistants keeping continuity.
Granted that is the only way I would want Ryan right now
 
With Philbin being a lame duck we are looking at a Brian Daboll situation all over again. No one decent will take the job knowing they will likely be one and done. Unfortunately Coyle stays, and if he is indeed let go it will be Kacy Rogers promoted.
 
Has Rogers shown any interest in being a coordinator? I would love it if he were promoted, rather than grabbing a guy off the street.
 
Rex as D coordinator would seem too good to be true. Philbin could be fired early in the season and Rex could take over. The D he could put together with the guys here and potentially some FA that would want to play on a team that is primed to make a run would be perfect.
