I can honestly say I didn't recognize the name Isa Abdul-Quddus before we signed him today. However, I do remember this bone crushing hit on Jordan Matthews during this past season. I believe it was on Thanksgiving Day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3xPJPC8h7A

There's also this fake punt against the Bears from late in the season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLrBDcYQTbU

And another crushing hit as member of the Saints: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fuyRsoaRTo

I gotta tell you, the signing I'm most excited about so far is this guy who I didn't even recognize his name. If he can bring this intensity every game, I think we may have something at the back end of the secondary...

Solid signing. Played well down the stretch for lions last year. Let's hope that continues

All the drama queens freaked out because they didn't sign a name they recognize. This dude has potential but it's not who they wanted so he sucks I guess.

The funniest part is guys actually were mad we didn't sign the guy who was benched in favor of him and woulda cost more money for the same spot. Funny....some people just wanna chase names

I like his potential. Gase should be aware of his game since he saw him twice last year.

0 picks in last 3 years. Was hoping for more of a playmaker at that position.

In his defense, he was mainly a special teams player for 2 and a half of those 3 years. It's hard to get a pick when you're a gunner or an upback in punt formation...

As long as he's in the right position and is a good tackler I can live with him not coming up with Ed Reed-esque turnovers.

Would you rather have a guy who is a thumper and a good tackler but doesn't have a lot of picks or a guy who can come up with ints but can't tackle?
We might see the comparison cause Maxwell's weakness is his tackling.

He'd be worth a second round pick simply to hear the announcers call after a gamechanging play...

sskk...Quddus..sh!

Wushi Safety Hold! Savior of the Franchise, lol.

LD

He doesn't need to catch a ton of picks. I just want a guy who takes the right angles, makes tackles, and is all over the field.

Just don't get burned on the level of Aikens. Give us Chris Clemons-esque play, or better

Oh yeah Ihedigbo is a real "name". I didn't realize Caldwell was infallible as a talent evaluator either but he must be to some of you who are justifying this guy replacing Ihedigbo after week 10. Ihedigbo has started for Belichick, Rex, Harbuagh, and Caldwell and it's somehow far fetched to think he could start for the Dolphins? Nah it makes much more sense to make this guy a top 20 paid safety based on him starting half a season (in a contract year) after years of not being able to start for anyone.

I guess some people will just accept that the Mitchell's, McCains and Quddus of the world are suddenly going to be studs just because Miami paid them like one.

Same # of career INTs as Derrick Shelby woohoo he's a real ball hawk. Can't wait to see our secondary not force turnovers again.

Players dont develop? Reshad jones wasnt very good his first few seasons, most called him a bum.Brady started right out of college right? You mean belicheat didnt realize what he had until injury, terrible talent evaluater.. I mean i can sit here and name hundreds of players that take a few seasons to develop. You're acting like he gave some fluke performances due to injury. No coaches recognized his talent for covering and made the switch, guy has just never been given a chance. He cant be worse then what we had last year and he can tackle so theres an immediate upgrade right there.

he supposed to be really good a run protection...and God thats what we need more so than anything, like Reshad Jones good, so I like it,
