In my opinion i think we will add one more guy in FA to our O-line ive heard alot of names thrown around but i was wondering who you would like to see in a phins uni next year. Just FA please no draft yet

Mine is

Jason Brown Ravens- I'm not sure if he has signed but Brown did a solid job replacing Edwin Mulitalo he is very young and with Sparano's O-line background this kid could be another addition to a solid young line.

Our O-Line...is it done? who do you want?

The healthiest guys who win in competion during camp.

i'd like ot see us forget about free agency because the draft is so deep in offensive linemen, even though a lot of people say most of these guys will be guards. I think that we should pick jake longto play right tackle and any of the rookies with either 2a or 2b (using the other pick as BPA). I'd also like for us to pick dan connor with 2a if we feel confident that a quality guard will fall to us at 2b. I'm am certainly not against us drafting a solid TE too!

this is what the line would look like then:

Lt - Vernon Carey
Lg - (rookie)
C - Samson Satele
Rg - Justin Smiley
Rt - Jake Long

This would be a very solid line i think and also would be very young! perfect to lead the way for Ronnie and Ricky and allow John Beck to have time to throw the 60 yd. TD pass to Ginn!

i also would rather get our linemen through the draft this year but if you want to talk fa there really isnt many quality guys left other than maybe keydrick vincent(sp) he's a ufa g for arizona i believe. is about 325 29 yrs old i believe but probly nothing more than depth/competition if brought in..i don't know alot about him but there may become a few more after the june cuts.

You may not see any more moves on the OL until the draft and then watching the waiver wires during the June cuts.

At 6'3" 320lbs he is a little heavy for the standard BP O-lineman. But good find nonetheless.

What about Hartwig. Noone has signed him yet have they?

Smiley will be a good signing. He will bring a little something missed since what'is name.

Gogan?

They have a second round tender on him, but if he's worth it then bring him in. A second rounder on a known commodity is better than one on an unknown commodity.

I think we'll grab 2 linemen in the draft, one early (round 1 or 2) and another mid-rounds (3 and/or 4), and maybe one late (6-7). I realize that's sorta all the rounds except 5th where we don't have a pick, but there's a lot of linemen and we'll invest one early and then one later.

After that, we'll see what we have and what's available and add cheap journeymen linemen with the right attitude and technique to help groom the rooks. With Carey at tackle, Smiley at guard, Satele at center, we've only got 2 spots open, and Mormino is probably in the mix at the other guard spot. Then there will be 1 drafted guard in the mix and 1 drafted tackle, both competing with journeymen FA's most likely. I don't know that we'll have the line completely set this year, but next year's draft will probably draft 1 more OL in rounds 3 or 4 to compete for the last job.

Personally I think we'll draft Jake Long to be our LT and move Carey back to RT where he's a potential pro-bowler, so that'll take care of our most important positions for the foreseeable future with Satele at center and Smiley at guard. Leaving only 1 more guard spot for several linement to compete for.

I don't think Parcells/Ireland is going to bring in any high priced OL guys, he's going to draft and groom his own smashmouth linemen, and use cheaper FA's to fill the holes until his guys are in place.

Get Otah with pick #32 and sign Jason Fabini to compete with Mormino at LG.

LT: Otah
LG: Mormino
C: Satele
RG: Smiley
RT: Carey

C.......Satele.....Mormino
OT.....Long.......Carey.......Brandon Keith......David Hale
OG.....Smiley....Heath Benedict.....Mormino

Long in the first,Benedict with the first pick in the 4th, and Keith in the 6th and Hale will probably be available as an URFA.

However Keith may be in trouble with the law regarding a big fight in Iowa. I guess its a pretty violent state.

I say forget FA...

Jake Long with the #1 pick.

Chilo Rachel or Steve Justice in round 3-4. Rachel with #57 if were desperate to get that LG.

There was a rumor that Satelle was going to Guard and Parcells likes a much bigger guy at C...if this were to happen Justice could be our center, while Satelle would move to LG.

I want it one of the 2 ways:

Jake Long or Vernon Carey
Chilo Rachel
Samson Satelle
Justin Smiley
Vernon Carey or Jake Long

(whichever is more effective with Long/Carey)

or

Jake Long
Samson Satelle
Steve Justice
Justin Smiley
Vernon Carey

(same goes with Long/Carey)

One thing is for certain...we have to draft an O-Line man in the top3 rounds. I hope we set it up for the next decade though. Getting these youngsters would provide us with one of the youngest O-Lines in the NFL..and would be so promising...we'd finally have a "Colts Oline" where we dont have to touch it for 10 years, same guys, consistency, etc.

i also would rather get our linemen through the draft this year but if you want to talk fa there really isnt many quality guys left other than maybe keydrick vincent(sp) he's a ufa g for arizona i believe. is about 325 29 yrs old i believe but probly nothing more than depth/competition if brought in..i don't know alot about him but there may become a few more after the june cuts.

Vincent signed with Carolina earlier in FA
