Our new offense could really impress & here's why. 1st off BP & new staff.

QB's - I was all 4 giving Beck another shot, being he'll have a little bit of experience now & the guy does have talent. But I also like bringing in McCown (sort of a veteran), who has nice arm strength & is pretty good in the pocket. No matter who wins the starting job, we'll be better then what we had last year. So may the best man win.

WR's - Happy about signing E.Wilford. With Ginn (speed) & EW (size) as the WR1 & WR2 we've improved. Ginn & EW will put up better #'s then Chambers & Booker could've. I hope they don't get rid of Hagan, because this is the year (3rd) that WR's are supposed to break out, right? Unfortunately, he's hasn't proven himself yet, but hopefully will. I hope they keep Camarillo around & forget about KJ coming back, now that we signed EW. * And even though he's a RB, I could see LoBo lining up in the slot & love the guys hands. I think Ginn, EW & LoBo will give the QB's alot of opportunities.

RB - If R.Brown's good to go, then we're set. If not then IMHO I believe Chatman, RW & LoBo (Gado?) can carry the load untill Ron's 100%.

TE - Ryans a beast, and supposedly a nice run blocking End. Don't know about his hands, but if he helps the line w/QB protection & running plays, then we've improved. They should see if they could low ball Crumpler, especially since I don't think he got much interest in FA so far.

O-line - Not sure about todays FA pick up, but there's still more FA's out there & I think we're going to pick up another starter here via the draft. Satale really looked good last year & with a little improvement on either side of him should mean a lot less sacks. The line started to come together last year & I believe we'll be improved here as well.

* All this & we still have 6 picks in the draft. On the Offensive side of the ball I'd bet they pick up a QB & OL probably 2nd & 3rd round. And possibly a WR in the 7th.

I'm sure I'm a bit of a homer, but I already think our Offense has improved & there's more to come.

Improve line means more time for the QB, more time for the QB, means better QB. Better QB, means keeping defenses honest. Keeping defenses honest, means better RB's. Better RB's, means single coverage for WR's & more long balls. More TD's & so on....

Yes, the qb is better; he completed a lttle over 58% of his passes with a qb rating of 69.4. He is a major upgrade but not based on his play on the field.

If the staff think he's better then Beck & he gets the nod to start, then he must be better. If Beck holds off someone like McCown, then he's must have improved during the offseason, etc. Heck, I don't care if they pick a QB in the 7th round & he comes in and wins the starting job. If he's better then what we have now, then it's an improvement, and I'll be supportive. We all know that Cleo & Green weren't the answers. Atleast Beck has potential. And McCown has shown that he can win games.
