Our "OFFENSE" is making our Secondary look worse than they are!

I see a lot of fans on this website unfairly throwing our Secondary under the bus. The truth is when your "OFFENSE" keeps putting you back out on the field just 3 plays after you got off, huffing and puffing, you're "bound to get torched". Thus what has taken place.

This secondary was completely disected and scrutinized by Bill Parcells this offseason. They watched every play last season and realized that they are a pretty good group.

When your WRs suck...and your OL sucks....and your Offense continues to put our Defense back on the field every 3 plays, you get what we are seeing...a secondary getting torched.

It's our "O" that needs to man up, not our "D". Our "D" is getting no help whatsoever....

On the contrary, they are playing and dissing our "D" and putting them in bad positions where they can not succeed. Put the blame where it really needs to be.

Now, I'm not saying that they are the best out there....but not as bad.

Our secondary sucks. Besides Will Allen and Yermiah Bell we have noone of any substance and worth keeping. I blame the secondary for playing bad not the offense which was equally as putris.
 
Will Allen was pissed after Goodman kept blowing his coverage. I was glad to see the passion in his frustration. Shows me how bad he really wants to win.
 
The bears offense sucks, and yet they don't get torched every game. I agree the secondary looks worse because they are on the field the whole game, but it's not like we have a good secondary that goes to terrible. We have a bad secondary that goes to terrible when on the field too long.
 
The fact is, this is probably the worst secondary in team history.
 
They're not good enough to be called a secondary. :shakeno: They're a thirdary. :D

No. Our secondary is our biggest weakness IMO, especially our safeties. The safeties give NO support to the corners and are really lame at tackling and giving support against the run. They're just horrible.
 
To claim that the offense made our secondary look bad is just ridiculous. The secondary is awful.

Well, this argument might hold some water if they wore down in the third quarter, but that isn't what happened. Hell, we were down 14-0 to Boldin alone in the first. That first TD pass was absolutely horrible. He just blew by the safety like he wasn't there.

It was actually the first official play of the game. Two penalties before it nullified the plays.

As for our secondary, some pressure from the lineman/linebackers would certainly help out a lot. The are an average to bad group. The only way to make up for this is to get pressure, which the tried but they were stuffed. In fact if I remember correctly the first play the brought a blitz and got torched. Here's to another enduring season

By first official play I mean for the Cardinals offense. Sorry already trying to forget about the game. :(
 
Did Jason Allen play any? I can't believe that he wouldn't see the field hardly any after the starting safeties got burned early and often...
