Can you Imagine!!!

I think we have too many good players, jk. I wish we were able to line up Ricky, Ronnie, McMike, Chambers, Boston, and Booker at the same time. Defenses would freak out, though. To bad it isn't possible. But can you imagine the possibilities Linehan could come up with. I just can't stop smiling.:D:D:D

And yet, too bad it needs to start from the inside out. I too am really excited about our skilled players, but I am a believer that you need to build from the inside out - in other words, lineman first. I think KC and Denver are great examples. Denver can plop almost any RB into their offense and he runs wild. KC could put almost any skilled players on the field and they look great - quick - name their two top receivers... If we had KC's oline our offense would be incredible.

Im pretty sure at some point we will see those guys in there together, why is it impossible, you can send either Ricky or Ronnie out on the flat, and the defense wont know what to do, having all these weapons is a drem come true for Linehan, dont expect to see any of that creativeness anytime soon......

It's impossible because once you include 5 offensive lineman and the quarterback that equals 12 players. Last time I checked that's illegal
;)

No need to have all five of them in there if they aren't going to do their job anyways...right? :goof:

hey here's a thought on the o line. since some of them aren't even getting in the way of a defender, then they can only be getting in our own way. lining up with say only 3-4 o lineman and putting more skilled players on the field could actually work out!

We have a month left for our o-line to gell. There is some talent there, but we have to be patient. They have a new coach, a new o-line coach, a new o-cordinator, and some new faces. I have faith in Mauck and Linehan to get this worked out. If we have a QB that doesn't turn the ball over, and can actully connect on a long pass the preasure might come off the 0-line. This teams biggest flaw on both sides of the ball the past few years was the opoosing coaches new what we were going to on both sides about 1 week before they played us. Saban and Scott change that, and I can't wait to see what we get.

I'll still take 3 wide, 1 tight and one back every down just lettin Ricky and Ronnie switch out every other play.. The D would still get tired real fast with them two running and getting to rest a lot. Run a few times and then play action once in a while when they start to commit inside. . Would still freak out a D if you ask me..

My money says we see much of this the second 1/2 of season. Ricky is gonna miss the first 1/4, and Ronnie will take a few weeks to get in real game shape.....

well said...hopefully our line will become one of the best in the league. I believe they need time.

I like that idea alot. I can't wait til the season starts. The only bad thing about this season is we don't have any nationally broadcast games, so i won't see any games in Iowa. The one game I am hopeful to see is the KC game.
