Okay, yeah, I'd heard that. I thought you'd heard / read something more recent.
I don't have a problem with him as a backup, but St. Claire can play center as well.

I'd love this line:
First Team:
LT: Smith
LG: James
C: Grove
RG: Welman
RT: MCintosh
Backups:
LT: Jerman
LG: Yates
C: McKinney
RG: Whitley
RT: St. Clair, Dorsey
McKinney is the first back up off the bench. He backs up both Grove and the guard spots.
St. Clair can cover back up center if McKinney is forced to start and we groom Dorsey at RT for a couple of years down the road. It may be overkill on the line, but who cares. If we have a great line we'll have a chance to win every game by pounding out the ground game.
That first team would be dominating with the run and we'd have a tough guy leading the way in Grove.
If we don't select Grove with our first pick, then McKinney is the guy there and I'd take Losman at 28 (provided he gets past Green Bay in round one).
I believe we have to get another good young QB prospect in here to compete. (Anyone hear about that Culpepper clone that played for a small school - he's a 250 lbs. QB?) :tongue:
