Why do you think we don't look in our own backyard for players to draft? We have three great colleges that spring a lot of talent yet we always seem to go elsewhere for our needs. I know it may not always be the best option but we sure have missed out on a lot of great players out of Fla. Colleges. I'm watching the Florida vs. Fla. State game... that jamius Winston looks sharp!!! Uh oh, all the tanne lovers are gonna kill me for that one! We've been without a great qb for so long I say just keep picking them. But back on track with our home colleges... if I was somewhere in the hiring hierchy it would be policy to look and see what we got in our own yard first before we start recruiting elsewhere. Is that a good or bad thing?

Yeah, but Ross is a Michigan man. You know, like Henne.
We did get Miller from Miami, Jenkins, Sturgis, and Gillislee from Florida.

Ehh I mean really lately has it been top tier talent coming out of this area?? I mean yeah you have the Pounceys and Percy Harvin from Florida just trying to think of some more big time players local??

I'd prefer not to draft a rapist. If we're bringing in a rapist, let's trade for Big Ben.

We've drafted how many Florida and Miami players over the past 3 years?

Do people that make these threads even FOLLOW THE TEAM?!

AS I posted in another thread thats what we use to do in the past , was pick up alot of players in our own State and when we was getting into the playoffs and went North to play games late in the year, we would lose most of them because we couldnt play in cold weather , the players wasnt use to playing in that kind of weather , and thats why we started going north more for players that can and are use to playing in cold weather..

is this the first the OP has heard of jameis winston? it reads like you just woke up from underneath a rock.

I agree with your basic sentiment though, I'd like to see more guys out of all the florida schools looked at and at least talked about. It seems to me we don't even bother with them anymore. there is a lot of pro talent on that FSU team. And in the next few years there will be a heck of a lot of hurricane players that will transition well to the NFL.

We probably have more players from Fla colleges on our team than any other state.

Winston looks great with all that Talent.

Hasn't yet have to come back in a game. We'll see how good he is against Alabama

We need to have a blend of players from across the country. The last thing we need is a repeat of the randy shannon Hurricanes.

No, not saying he's better but just saying I'm soooo tired of not good qb's why not just keep picking them until we hit on one. I'm not saying tanne isn't it, but I'm not sold on him either. He's good, but not great like another poster mentioned

The reason we havent been able to find out if Tannehill is the Franchise QB ,WAS the WRs , so we go out and get that taken care of ,then our OL flew all to pieces , so we will never know until we can address the OL and give Tannehill time to throw the ball without having to worrie about being hit before he has time to throw it .but imo i think Tannehill we be a Franchise QB for us .

If anyone thinks Tanny doesn't have a future doesn't know football. It would be laughable to use another high pick on a QB next year.
