I love that we are able to move the ball with a strong run game and short passes most of the time but I have to say that our passing game is pretty pathetic. We barely throw to our wr's, we never throw deep, and half the time just throw it behind the line of scrimmage. I felt this way when we were winning but obviously it didn't bother me as much when we ended the game with a win but even then I wished for more. Watching the Eagles game and McNabb throwing lasers made me jealous because any pass over 10 yards with Pennington is a lob. Literally every time. I just wish for more excitement in our passing game; as well as more wins. (I do appreciate what Chad is doing for this team but I really wish we had a stronger arm.)

if only we had Randy Mcmichael's infinate wisdom and Sage's helicopter like moves and sam madison's pro bowl like finite talent to set us all free.

If you watch almost any other football game on Sunday you watch passing plays that this team absolutely never runs. It's frustrating. I feel like we only get to watch half an offense.

The passing game is set up for our teams strengths.

No playmaking receivers...Pennington accurate but not a really strong arm. So play calling has to adjust. This team cannot afford turnovers big passing comes with a downside....interceptions.

You do realize that Pennington connected on a 58-yard deep ball off the fleaflicker and also connected on an 80-yard screen play for a touchdown as well as a 37-yarder to Ronnie Brown late in the fourth quarter.

What's boring about that?

Granted, it would be nice if they went downfield to our wideouts but it's hard to stomach your complaint when you look at the facts and stats. I just don't see the passing game as "boring."

We are horrible on 3rd down, especially 3rd and 5 and greater. Really really bad!

yeah it wasn't that boring that flea flicker play was amazing and the 37 yarder to ronnie on the wheel route.. good plays.. ginn had 1 catch -1 yards, no wilford, still no London and 1 catch from fasano...

it wasn't the offenses fault, if you were to put any blame on it, it would be the last 1 minute 80 yard drive to win the game, that was demoralizing

i partially agree in that it sucks we cant shoot downfeild more...

Those were big plays although one was a trick play, one was a screen pass which actually went sideways and the last if I remember correctly was a broken play. I mean that I want an offense that calls a 15 or 20 yard pass and actually attempts it. How many passes all season have we attempted that went over 20yards in the air?

That flea flicker pass was about 30-35 yards downfield, cobbs was wide open and took it to the house, then it was a short screen type pass for cobbs and he took it to the house again. Ronnie was only 20 yards downfield.

I agree its sort of boring, wouldn't mind seeing 40+ yard BOMBS that are on the money. Pennigton is very efficient, that not his knock, but on 3rd down in critical situations, you have to get the first down. He hasn't done that. Good teams convert, bad teams don't.

Well today, there were 3:
-Pennington threw incomplete on a deep out to Ginn
-Pennington hit Cobbs on the fleaflicker
-Pennington hit Brown on a long completion down the sideline

*He also had a completion to Martin that traveled about 16 yards and was perfectly thrown into heavy coverage

That's enough for me.

P.S. Pennington has thrown for 1,101 yards with 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions (one was on a desperation pass at the end of the Jets game and the other on a bobbled catch). He is completing 68.6 of his passes and has a 98.8 passer rating. That's the best quarterbacking we've seen here in a long long time (even better than Marino's twilight years). Do you really think it merits complaints?

obviously you are a proponent for the "game managing" quarterback.

IMO, superstar qb's just make the game more exciting. Pennington's not going to give up the INT's as often, but he's not going light it up either.

Take for example a guy like Brett Favre, he's going to light it up, but he's going to throw INT's. I'd take him over Pennington anyday just for the excitement factor. I wonder who has the most 4th quarter comeback-from-behind legendary qb type of games.

That's what i call football.

Dude. We don't....have...playmakers....at....the WR position.

a lot has to do with pennys no arm strenght and the lack of WRs behind Cam.

it is what it is, its sad. BTW I think evrey catch our WR make besides CAm is off a screen lmaoo, thats beyond pathetic.
