I am a Saban supporter and hope that he gets this team turned around but he did a terrible job this offseason for finding players. Never did I think that we would become this bad. Even when Wanny was here, this team was never this bad. I think that Saban could be a great coach in this league. The part that frustrates me the most though is the amount of control that Saban has. Saban would be a lot better coach if he had his managerial power taken away from him. Not many coaches today have that power to deal with the business aspect of football. Maybe taking away that power is what needs to be done.

Nick Saban is almost as clueless as the last guy.

I am not going to question his coaching abilities - he's still new to the NFL & he's done a pretty solid job so far. However, his eye for this team's needs is horrific. I mean, was he really satisfied with the offensive line, thinking Shelton alone would be the cure? Get the hell out've here..

I have a question...

Who would all of you signed to play left tackle?

The options were VERY limited.

We have had a billion injuries at right guard and that is not helping.

Saban is not the issue IMO.

And BTW....Randy Mueller is the co-GM of the team. It's not like Saban is in the office signing cheques instead of dealing with what is wrong with the team.

Things will be alright...as bad as it looks right now.

This team is BUILDING for the long term.

McIntosh was a better option to keep at left tackle. Then it would have been smart to use a high draft pick on an eventual replacement. Also there were options at guard and center that this team ignored.

I agree.

Don't forget this team is still being rebuilt from the mess Wanstadt left. Saban really had no reason to make alot of changes on the oline after last year only allowing 26 sacks for the year.
