The more I hear Philbin the more support I get with this selection. One major reason is he is a quarterbacks coach. He talked about fundamentals, technique, being smart, up-tempo, attacking. I like this selection...I know I have been very critical of Ross but especially Ireland...but I think they got this one right! If nothing else Philbin will educate Ireland about what you look for in a QB. Great hire IMO! :hclap:

I agree. He knows how to develop a QB and he understands the current NFL. No more 1980s football.

I feel we may be a very exciting team to watch. Much sooner than later. However this coming offseason its extremely important. I trust he will make the right decisions to help us achieve his vision.

Miami Dolphins 1980's football was PASSING. We were known for it.

We are just getting back to our roots.

I like the PHILBIN hire but I temper my expectations. Irleand is the gm and alot will depend on his input so no at this time no guarantee our problems are over but at head coach at this moment they are

I totally agree Dlockz. I'm very hopeful based on Philbin's impressive resume, but i thought Cameron would be a good coach too, and he was soooooooo bad.

It's time to have faith, hope, and confidence in our team. Support and believe to the fullest. F*ck doubt and past failures, be positive and confident in everything Miami Dolphins for 2012 and beyond. I have a special feeling that we are about to begin to change into winners. Have patience and be calm in your temperament. Never allow *****s or fear to enter thought. Execution is key for success, while still being driven by perfection. Be aggressive in all facets of the game. Believe in the scheme and play for keeps. Play to be the best. Play with percision, and focus on being the best every single snap. Be perfect...

The one thing that really gives me hope is that Philbin is a product of Bill Walsh's system. The style that GB employed is very similar.
The rules today favor the WCO. For once we are putting a round peg into a round hole.

I got excited when I heard him talk about playing uptempo in all aspects of the game. Very rarely in the last 4 years have we had a game where I felt like we dominated in all aspects of the game

No more wins that feel like losses
