Our real goal, i think, should be to get to 7-9. That means from this point we go 3-2. Preferably i'd like to win the division games, but i'll take the 3 wins where we can get them. we probably would fall short of the playoffs, but i don't believe the playoffs are serious concern right now. Going from a 4-12 team to a 7-9 is very good. It would give Saban the right recognition in the league as a new head coach, and we'd still have a solid draft pick. Everyone can dream about the playoffs all they want, but i just don't see why exactly we'd want to get there this year.

7-9 would be perfect footing for us next season. We know we're not there yet, but everyone else knows we're on our way.

I would have to say this is one of the more realistic posts I have seen in a while. I thought we might go .500 before the season. To win 4 out of 5 right now doesnt seem realistic....

i think 7-9 would be perfect. i guess just knowing we kept the season to single digit losses could be used as motivation.

I even think 6-10 is a good record.

That's what I thought our record would be too at the beginning of the season.

Dolphins should not win another game. They've already established they have potential, now its time to think about building up the team. Need that top draft pick and Saban needs to start switching up the roster a bit and testing people in actual play.

The fact that Zach is rushing back because he has confidence we can make the playoffs is a testament to how coach Saban has instilled the importance of process within the organization. It seems to me that whether we finish 9-7 or 4-12 our players will still have a sense of accomplishment -- hopefully we, as fans, will have that sense of accomplishment too.

I never thought i'd say it, but circumstances being what they are the past two seasons, I would be extremely pleased with 7-9 and enjoy the 3 game improvement with next year looking just promising in the improvement area..

Or maybe he wants to quench any..."trade Z.Thomas with our 1st rounder to move up in the draft...we don't really need him anymore with C.Crowder replacing him..." type thoughts.

Seven wins is even stretching it I think at this point. But a good goal. To think we will win out and turn the corner after a bad start with issues, while simultaneously the Patriots suddenly start losing everything with their track record, is some serious dreaming. The only benefit of the playoffs is experience, momentum and some self worth, but much of it would be diminished with the crashing lose likely to hit them. If ever a wild math equation did occur, the team would be dead, drained and injured for this team to take 4 or 5 in row. I keep in mind that there is no depth really and it is a serious contact sport. Look at how we hit the play offs 3 and 4 years ago. Tired and ready to break. He I would take it if it ever happened, but it is not a logical thought, considering sentence two above.
