I think miami coming into the year was too ****y/confident and felt once we got DC that we were going to be SB bound without much effort and these 2 losses CLEARLY/HOPEFULLY woke em' all up. DC was very confident, which is good, but too much confidence isn't good and i think taht was the issue and now he will either pick it up and perform very very well or he will suck due to lack of confidence/flashbacks of last years season he had.

I agree that the Phins bought into the hype, and probably didn't take Buffalo serious. Hopefully, they can adjust their thinking, get back to basics, and CP can get his stuff together before it's too late. Oh yeah, a healthy serving of Brown, Suggs and Morris wouldn't hurt either.

Daunte was also confident coming into last year too, saying things like "I feel like a Jedi Knight" and "Nobody can stop me" and we all know how awesome he was last year. The dude is not a winner. Marino, even though he never won the Super Bowl, was a winner. He wanted the ball when the game was on the line. Daunte wants to get rid of it like a hot potato. This year will display this once again.

I'm sure the performance of the other 52 people on the team have nothing to do with this, right? And I'm sure his season in 2005 had nothing to do with an offensive line that didn't gel until after Culpepper was injured.

Getting really tired of Viking fans trashing Culpepper. He's not on your team anymore--if you're so glad to be rid of him, why are you continuing to follow his career?

He is what he is, and unfortunately for me the Dolphins are the team i root for when the Vikes are out of the playoff race. Is there a problem with that? Like i've mentioned before, he has a penchant for ending games on an INT. Now tell me, Did Dan do that all of the time?

And he is a great quarterback when given time to make a play. Is he the greatest clutch player in the history of the NFL? Obviously not. But 2004 was not an aberration for Culpepper. That is his potential when given a chance to live up to it.

You do realize that you're complimenting Culpepper by comparing his performance to Dan Marino's, right?

Only time will let this thing play out, and when the dust settles we will see how things turned out...

Desides, are we gonna have any more conversation?
my fellow dolphans dont like to think about all the bad Daunte has but you have to realize Daunte had 6tds 12ints before he got hurt last year the man has been kind of a bonehead we just gotta hope he will get out of it and play more like he did in 04

What does condifidence have to do with questionable play calling, qb stupidity, and an expectedly shoddy secondary?

Very good point, I just thought Desides would come back with something because i thought we were having a good conversation. I guarantee Daunte will be 1-2 as the fins starter after this weekend and there will be some good things to talk about next week.
