Our running game

You know what,for years our running game has really stunk it up. I know Ronnie Brown had a 1,00 yard season a while back,but even at that,a 1,000 yards any more in a 16 game season isnt what it use to be in a 14 game season. Anyway,even at that,the last few years it just has'nt been worth hardly anything, and it puts a lot more pressure on the passing game,we all know that.

Still, what Im really wondering though is we let Ronnie and Ricky go this year,but was it really them,or moreso the offensive line,because from what I have saw last year,and previous years,and even early in the Falcons game thus far (just watching it,recorded it) our O-line looked awful early ! We had like 20 something yards at halftime rushing !

Im not using this to try to make Henne look good,thats not what this is about,at all,but I am saying any QB,except Dan Marino, is going to be under tons of pressure without the running game,and no matter what is the problem,O-line,or the backs we have had,what-ever you feel.....we have got to get it fixed,and at least be able to have a respectable running game !!!!

It was them, too many injuries to Ronnie took his quickness away, and Ricky became a straight ahead runner, I like our RB this yr, they are quick, make guys miss and not afraid to run bwt the tackles......when this OL jells this unit will be an upgrade over last yr...

After one preseason game I see our RB and WR as upgrades over last yr......

Appreciate your thought and comment jvw. Sounds like your pretty convinced, and really think our O-line can really come together,and I definitely hope your right my friend !

I guess Im just frustrated the last several years, so tired of seeing us getting stuffed in the running game,and not moving the ball. I really do love Long and hopefully as you said,with adding Pouncey and all these guys have time to come along and gel,we will start to see improvements in the running game this year. Plus,as you said,if Ronnie really had slowed down,and honestly had not noticed it or really thought it was that serious,but anyway with these new RB and their speed,maybe it all comes together this year finally.
