Our Secondary isnt bad...

Why does everyone say our Secondary is a glaring weakness on this team? As far as passing defense we were 5th overall in yards allowed, and in receiving defense we were 6th overall in yrds allowed, in pts per game we were 5th overall... we may have to work on our TD's allowed and our interceptions but 5th and 6th isnt that bad... And it's not like our secondary got worse over the offseason
 
Our secondary was masked by our pass rush. Tell me, which one of our DB's would you want to cover a Randy Moss or Marvin Harrison all day?
 
Your secondary sucks, dont give me those numbers, because those guys let up some huge plays. I remember 4 this year they let up against the Jets, 2 on the monday night game when Cotchery caught the TD, and when McCariens had the big 40 yard gain. Also on the first game when Coles had the 50 yard TD, and when he had the other TD when the CB was holding him.
 
Have u seen our LBs or D-Line, thats y our ranks were so good last year.

you guys only maniged 13pts in that monday night game so before you talk up a strom read the bacis facts the only game where our secondary really got beat up was agaist the jags ....ps i will take our secondary over yours anyday i cant name two coners on your team
 
our secondary is a weak part of the team. Last year it was masked by our crazy pass rush. Lucky for us it appears to be getting better. All the guys have another year in the system, and there are no huge personel changes like last year. Hopefully a light will turn on for these guys.

will allen and goodman did a decent job last year they dont suck
 
someone just needs to post that hit on that night game against the jets when ZT gave on that sweet little girl that ridiculous hit so this d bag can go somewhere and shut up
 
I don't think our secondary is awful, per say. I think they have to make some strides. I believe Jason Allen moving to CB could help in the playmaking department. I'd much rather have some CBs that give up some big plays, but make alot of big plays. We didn't have that last year, we just had DBs that gave up big plays. Our most consistent DB was Renaldo Hill in my mind.

I think our DBs can cover, but however, they all seem to possess atrocious ball skills. They don't know how to go up and get the ball or defend passes, or make plays on the ball. Also, we have to consider how ridiculously complex Saban's scheme was for those guys. Maybe with a little more simplicity these guys can just go out and play instead of worrying what position and calls to make every play.

Our secondary is a weakness though.
 
It seemed to me that we got a lot of pass interference penalties. I don't think that they take these into account when calculating earned yardage, but it amounts to the same thing
 
Oue secondary sucks no one can deny that. Will Allen has pretty much be toast his whole career and he's our best DB. Travis Daniels is more of nickelback and Andre Goodman even though he makes plays also gives them up. Bell is a liability in coverage and Jason Allen is unknown. No one in the secondary scares anybody.
