Look i hear outcries for a corner in this draft and i dont think we need one this year to be honest.

At corner we have
Will Allen- hugely underrated good corner

Andre Goodman- good not great

Micheal Lehan- Nickel kinda guy

Nathan Jones- BP guy may be given a shot

At Saftey we have
Jason Allen- now that he has some stability he will show us what he has he was moved around and changed systems to much that hurt his progression

Yeremiah Bell- Can be AWESOME if he stays healthy which i think he will

Chris Crocker- started in ATL last year could be a safety blanket if injury bug bites us

Renardo Hill- Veteran presence knows the system will play and guide younger players.

I know these dont blow you away but the pressure that our front 7 will apply with the DEADLY rotation we have now they dont have to be great just good enough to make plays here and there. So relax the Dolphins have a new identity and we will beat up other teams.
 
I would love Jamie Silva or Campbell of Army if they are around in the 6th.
 
jason allen is awful, he has been awful and will continue to be awful
 
Andre Goodman is not good or great

Will Allen played well at points last year but he really is only an average corner.

Jason Allen has shown some promise, but he's yet to reach any kind of potential either.

Bell i think is solid, if healthy, his health coming into this season is a big question mark. We'll see.

Reynaldo Hill is not good, Nor is Chris Crocker, but i guess they are good depth players, i just dont want them seeing significant time on the field.
 
Good thread starting post. Been saying it all along. We will continue to build front 7 on D and OL with this draft. We got our Qb already too. Next year we will focus again on the front 7 on D and then we will have a few picks we can look at WR and Secondary.
 
are you serious? our Defensive Backfield is horrible and they want to stop the run SO bad? good thats fine because we will be TORCHED and TOrched and Torched...so i guess while we can get little moral victories we will still be stopping the run...we will continue to give up 200 a game especially in our devision where we have Randy Moss and a much improved Bills passing attack....
 
Rome isn't built in a day folks. YOu can't address everything..

And IMO, our corners aren't that bad. Allen, Lehan, Goodman, Daniels. That's not downright horrible. They're not great. Not even entirely good. But with a good pass rush, that unit can suffice. Lehan was good enough last year that the Trifecta gave him a decent pay day. Allen has been solid. Goodman was pretty good when he was healthy. T.Daniels still has some room to improve.

We had far bigger holes. The trenches always are always first priority.
 
i know seriously and can u believe this guy held out and was the second to last guy sign behind matt leinart what the fu--!
 
Look the way it works is you bring pressure and the DB's all of a sudden look a lot better.Jason Allens been a disppointment as a 1st round pick (Thanks Nick) but he did look better last year. He was encouraging enough where I'll look at him one more time.

It 's pretty apparent that they are stocking the D-line and given Parcells history did anyone really expect him to start anywhere else?

you must not watch football! this guy was one every tackle. He had 3 picks, how many has those DB starting from Day 1 had that much. Don't give me that bull about how awful is JAson Allen.
 
YOU COULDNT BE ANY MORE WRONG on your assesment of
the db's on this team and if the trifecta have made one
mistake it is THERE evaluation of the cb's on this team.

WILL ALLEN: solid, nothing great. and with the wr's in this
division, we need MASSIVE upgrades at the corner spot
and allen would be a nickle cb in the db's we really need
now in the afc east.

YERIMIAH BELL: will people just get OFF this guy!! the knock
on him is he has ALWAYS been injured and that is STILL true!
you couldnt have a worse injury to a db thatn a torn achillies.
he was decent [way, way over rated] at best and wont be
the same coming back. time to part company with him and fill
his spot with a BETTER talent, or at least one who is there on
sundays.

GOODEN, LEHAN, HILL, all are ok BACKUPS. nothing else. we are
going to be getting slapped around once again by the wr's in
our division. hey, a couple times last year we had 3 DB'S right
on top of randy moss deep balls and both time RANDY came
down with the ball!! NO playoffs untill this is fixed and if a have
one gripe about this draft it is not dipping into a db class that
had BIG players with 4.3 and 4.4 speed. same as last year,we
passed on a loaded class and got burned ALL year.

and very little of it was because of pass rush.

our WR'S dont cut it yet either. WILFORD is a good choice
and will help but is NO t.o. and ginn, we shall see. we should
have dipped into this class of good wr's.
