I know we were told Smily would be the starting RG but now that we drafted Murphy Smily could be moving to LG....Ireland said that he really likes Murphy and that "he's better suited to play RG" so Smily could play LG....Now him moving is good for 2 reasons imo....one is to give Murphy a chance to play his best position and 2,having a veteran playing next to Long would be a big help....look at Thomes with the browns last year.He had Stainback next to him and he went to the probowl....at the same time you'll have a veteran like Carey playing next tp Murphy...so,our starting line from left to right,

Long-Smily-Satele-Murphy-Carey

that right side is big with Carey-335 and Murphy-320

Ozzy rules!!

Yeah though i think one of the two rookie guards we selected will start i would prefer them to go on the right side no matter how good they are i do not want 2 rookies on the left side which is the blind side. I think big Jake is NFL ready on day one but still needs to develop and NFL game so if smiley moves over to LG im cool with that.

I'm loving our o-line for the first time since the great o-line we had in the early to mid 80's. It's no stretch saying this may be our most talented line since then. Even the one in the 90's with Webb and Sims wasn't such a good run-blocking line, and that was only a good pass-blocking line due to Marino's agility and quick release.

i wouldn't sleep on Mormino yet for that other guard spot... all i know is the camp battles are going to be fun for that Guard spot with 3 young guys duking it out

Our OL will be a force to reckon with!!!!

Granted, it may take a year to "gel" and learn, but we have TALENT.
I can't wait to see this play out.

now only our o-line should be better but we'll have a little depth too...Mormino can play guard or center so he should be in...Darilek can also play guard a center and Wilson is the back up tackle...Thomas might or might not make the team as he's pretty raw but he'd make the PS.

Ozzy rules!!

The best part(for me anyway)is that with a strong O line we will finally be able to see some good production form our quarterbacks. This is doubly good for John Beck, who is going to need some protection.I am thrilled with this O line.

RG is probably the easiest spot to play on the line, so asking a rookie to start at that spot isn't too much of a stretch. Murphy has some size so pairing him up with Carey (the largest guy on the line) makes for a good right side to run on. If you look back at Ronnie's history his favorite side to run on is the right side, so this works well for Ronnie.

But the guard spot is gonna create an interesting training camp battle with Mormino, Murphy, and Thomas competing to start and grab a roster spot. I'm also looking for a veteran to maybe come in the off season just to shake things up. No matter what this Miami oline is no longer a joke among the league!

the running game will be awesome paired with our new players to stop the run on defense we can control the trenches which is how you win games
