In the first quarter and a half our tackling was ridiculous. Some of the players acted like they've never tackled a ball carrier in their life. On top of that our team looks too soft and full of finesse on both sides of the ball. They need to toughen up!!!

Just got off the phone with Goodell to confirm that we have forfeited the entire season based on two drives.

In other news, water is wet! This has been a problem for what, about 10 years? The encouraging sign was that we appear to have some quality depth with is entirely new. I saw a lot of good things from our backups that we didn't see during the Ireland/philbin era.

This is really our first game full pads since last season... I don't think we are allowed to tackle our own guys like that in practice. . Wait 2 more games including the dress rehearsal then we will talk.

I will only get concerned if it remains a consistent problem throughout the Preseason. It's the first game of Preseason. They haven't been wearing pads long. I'm sure this was a problem for almost every team.

I don't think it was that bad. We missed a couple of tackles (kiko missed a big one). I think the problem was that we were over pursuing and letting guys find creases

i think it's as much a symptom of these new practice rules as anything....can't believe we only get 18 padded practices all year.

Agree. This is the bigger problem with the league. Look at how many ugly penalties occurred this first game - it was sloppy. I get they are trying to protect the players, but it is at the cost of the quality of the game. I'll be worried about tackling if this is still happening in 3 weeks

Not saying there aren't things to worry about, but six of our eleven defensive starters didn't even play. Far more worried about getting competent offensive line play before a couple preseason missed tackles ruffles my feathers.

For those people that keep telling us it's just the first game, I get it but this team has been bad for years and hasn't won a super bowl in 43 years so stop giving them the benefit of the doubt. What has this team done the last 10 years yo make you think they'll be fine? Maybe they will win in Seattle and in NE but untill we see a different team every fan has a right to be skeptical

Ozzy rules!!

I don't think it is so much giving them the benefit of the doubt as being realistic about what you can expect in a full-contact game when you haven't played one in months and have had minimal time actually wearing full pads and tackling. Of course all of us would rather see better performance. Also, I have been a fan as long as many of you (1970) and as frustrated as I am about the performance in the last years - it is not logical or productive to have include the performances of the last XX years when at best only the last few are relevant to this team.

Hang in there!

I am watching a different PS game and just saw someone knock the dog**** out of someone else...how come other teams haven't gotten the memo?

It isn't just a few missed tackles people....it is the general lack of physicality with this team...you don't see big hits much at all...

I said it in another post. It looked as though we had no improvement in that area and it is disheartening to say the least.

Still doesn't make the first game of the preseason anymore important than any of them. The Broncos could go 0-4 this preseason and it doesn't mean ****. Their track record doesn't make the games any more or less important.
