The Talent and depth is still there. Infact it's better than it's been in a looong time. I understand people need to find ways to put us down because we stunk most of last year. Yet they all fail to bring to our attention that all the problems that caused the breakdown have been repaired and even Improved.

Ricky is back this season...So is Lamar Gordon. Add the #2 pick to the mix.
Morris can also play FB. (One of the best backfield rotations around)

Jay Feidler is finally gone for good, And for the 1st time in too long, a different QB is finally gunna get a legitimate shot. ( Our Weakness, so far )

Chambers is sure to hit the 1,000 mark and maybe even match his 11 TDs of 2 years ago. Booker hasta be more comfortable. Boston is back, for now. All will benefit from new offense. ( one of the best WR core's around )

McMichael (still one of the best TE's around) Perry can block and longsnaps. Lee is a blocker as well.

O-Line ( i just can't say enough about how huge a turnaround this line will make ) WE have about 9 guys i wouldn't be suprised about starting from day 1. This line will become better than average in a hurry.

Our DE's are UN_REAL. 4-5 starting DE's including 3 former pro-bowlers, Bowens did well last year, and we Drafted Roth. ( Best Crew around )

Wright and Vickerson will take time to develop. Wright will be good no doubt. Larry Chester and Keith Traylor, if-healthy, make for an awesome tandem.
Don't forget K.Carter will see time at DT as well, and Zgonina is no slouch.
( DT has alot of uncertainties, but when you throw all these guys in a rotation, we look comfortable now )

Zack has never been surrounded with such talent at LB. Seau is determined, if he stays healthy he'll get alot of playtime. Out goes GreenWood, in comes Crowder. (considering the price difference, we are way better off) Spragan, Pope, and Moore provide solid depth. OHYEAH!!!! JT will be lining up at LB, and so could Roth in time!! ( LB is golden, should also be one of the best crews around )

WE have the best Safety duo in a long time. Jones is better than Knight, and Schulters or a healthy Bell is our best since Marion. ( Questionable Depth here )

Finally, CB. Losing Poole hurts. So does not signing McQuarters in my opinion.
But I'm confident Sam will continue to shutdown #1 WRs, and Howard will have a better season. Daniels could even start right away. Maybe Nick sees sumthin in M. Edwards we don't. ( Questionable depth )

special teams looks good as usually. Especially Welker!!

With one of the best coaching staffs in the league, you'd hafta be a fool, or a tool to expect another 4- or 5 win season from the phins.

I'm not quite as optimistic as you. Lots of questions remain. I'm not as pessimistic as the 5 win season, but we are not SB bound either.

We will need playing time from all of these players:

These defensive players have little or no experience:
Crowder
Moore
Pope
Vickerson
Wright
Daniels
Roth
Bell

These defensive players had off years due to injuries or are getting up in age and are in question:
Jones
Shulters
Chester
Seau
Traylor

These offensive players have little or no experience:
Hadnot
Carey
Feeley

These offensive players had off years due to injuries or are getting up in age and are in question:
Boston
Middleton

Add to that:

New coaching staff
New offensive system
New defensive system

Now all of the players that I mentioned could play great. I would bet against any one of them. I'm also sure I left some off the list. I think the Fins end up some where between 7-9 and 10-6.
