Bill and co may want this guy Tony Scheffler to help open up our passing game from the TE spot better then what we have as of now. Tony Gonzales is too old if that rumor is even true.

Tony Scheffler is not attending Denver's offseason training program after the team tried to trade him earlier this month.
He did attend Monday's meeting, but shares Jay Cutler's agent and appears to be on the trading block. Scheffler has rare vertical skills and is an attractive chip, although there are many TEs like him in this year's draft.

Fasano was like 4th among TE's in recieving TDs and ranked high with yardage as well. TE= not a major problem

I'm happy enogh with Fasano and Martin at the moment so need to go after Scheffler, but Scheffler is a very good TE.

Are Denver trying to get rid of all their decent players?

I am happy with Fasano and Martin, but it would be great if we could get a third for Martin. His numbers last year should have raised his draft stock, and we could use the draft pick to upgrade other more critical positions.

we can do without Martin. He played very well for us last season, but he's getting up there in age. Fasano is going nowhere. I think this team continues it's youth movement by building through the draft.

I Think our TE's are good for now, maybe pick a TE to develop in the later rounds of the draft. But I see no need for a trade at this time.

I think our TE's are good right now. I can't imagine BP paying high for a position that isn't really a need. Scheffler will be little pricey IMO

We have needs in other areas. I honestly think were set at the TE position especially with Fasano. He was impressive last year.

I still remember how he came around adjusting to CP's ball in the endzone against the Jets that was fantastic!!

The only move I see at TE is Jared Cook WR/TE and Conor Barwin OLB/TE. That ought to cover the position quite nicely.

Yeah, I like Fasano too. I don't really see the TE spot being a major issue at the moment. We have far more pressing needs elsewhere.

I really don't know what McDaniels is playing at in Denver, but he might be making a balls of what was a great offense. I hope for his sake it works out.

If this was last year I would have really liked to have him on the Miami Dolphins roster. However, our TEs did better than okay last year, they did very good for what was asked of them.

Scheffler 40 receptions 645 yards 3 touchdowns. 70% of his receptions went for first downs. Longest reception 72 yards.

Fasano 34 receptions 454 yards 7 touchdowns. 76.5% of his receptions went for first downs. Longest reception 24 yards.

Martin 31 receptions 450 yards 3 touchdowns. 64.5% of his receptions went for first downs. Longest reception 61 yards.

ditto on what everyone else has said. just don't need him. we're money at TE right now.

I am a huge Fasano fan . dont we still have this Joe Haynos guy .

i also thought that we would need two tightends to use in a two tightend sets.

I am still dreaming of drafting pettigrew because he can damn well block like no other but i cant see us drafting a te for at least three more years.
