Keeping my head up and it’s hard to do- but I am trying.

I have been and still am a big supporter of Beck, but above that I am a supporter of the Dolphins so whoever starts the season I will be behind 100 percent. I know the quarterbacks have been struggling in camp. From the reports I am really starting to see Beck as a bit too indecisive, Henne as a bit too green and McCown is all over the place.

And yes it brings me down and yes it makes me question the upcoming season

HOWEVER, I have seen these types of reports in camp before. I remember a few reports of Marino completing 0-8 in camp, I remember Marino going into a preseason game for 3 plays and 3 incomplete passes. Yes, he is a completely different animal but training camp and game time situations are TOTALLY different. Adrenalin helps a bit.

I know the quarterbacks are fighting for a spot but I will resist the urge to say we will be failures before 1 snap of a preseason game. I REALLY believe we have the answer on our roster right now. Who it is- well that’s another question.

Maybe Becks new throwing motion will click and he will start making better, quicker decisions
Maybe Henne will be a natural, like our previous 2 rookie quarterbacks that started their first season.
Or Maybe McCown’s experience will help settle him down and actually be someone.

Miami might not have all of the pieces right now but
I will not say we are doomed even before the first preseason game starts

Just read CK's posts about the QB's, there you'll find the most accurate and level headed information. Everything else is just a waste of time.

no matter what, as a team Miami will get better every week. Personally, what I wanna see is this:

No matter WHO they go with at QB, they give him the first 10 games of the season. Don't bench him, dont take him out int he middle of a game, no switching whatsoever. Let the guy play 10 games, then evaluate him. We're not getting anywhere letting these guys start 2-3 games at a time and then sitting them.

Yep...this coming from someone with a John Beck avatar....He even knows what I see everyday and where my opinions come from...

Very accurate and level headed info

i read cks posts, hes usually always levelheaded about things. It gets tuff but even pure stats can sometimes make it seem worse than it is. I am just trying to hold on until real games start and if things dont look so good then, thats when i sill start preparing myself

To me I have no preference at QB. The best chance to win is what I am concerned about.

Having said that - Go McHenneBeck!

Well

I agree with your POst Walker
Yes it not time to panic

Beside the eyes I trust the Most, are the ones on my Head

I'm going to wait until the 3 pre-season game
till I become exicted or bummed about our season

that is a good way to go about it but from camp reports i dont think you have to worry too much about being excited (at least about our quarterbacks)

Oh god I just made myself feel sad again

Well if you read CK's post he told you he didn't have a favorite at the QB position. Obviously his opinions are based on all thing combined and not who he want to see succeed and who he wants to see fail. You don't have to read a word he say's, you don't have to agree that's your choice.

BTW I aslo have a Sig of Ricky, I guess that means I like him more then anyone else we have at the RB position too right? I have a an avatar of Beck because he's a player on my favorite team, shoot me.

that's a great point but why if we don't agree with ck's take on the qb situation is it "a waste of time???" isn't debate discussion what these message boards are all about???

by the way, love the board. very well done.

It's just my opinion, take it or leave it.

young qbs and growing pains. We are in a major rebuild job and I for one am glad to see us trying to groom our own qb rather than picking up someone else's trash. Besides there is no one out there to get. So get ready for a interesting year at qb and maybe we will see someone step up and take charge. In the meantime it aint going to be very pretty.

I disagree with CK, and dont feel like my opinion is a waste of time. CK says Beck, like almost all rookie qb's, may need 2 or more years to develop. Well, thats the catch 22 with him isnt it? By then hes 28-29. Thats why alot of Phin fans have little patience with this guy. Didnt we hear about how mature he was after the draft? How this maturity would allow him to grasp things quicker than younger, more immature qb's. Cant have it both ways with Beck.

If he needs just as much time as a 21 year old to get it, then why draft him? People can only go off what we have seen with our own eyes. Well, he was downright brutal last year. Now, from what I read, hes still pretty terrible. But now Im supposed to believe its a big conspiracy by the writers to make Beck appear worse than he is? This isnt the X Files.
