Our type of QB in the draft

I think that all of the people here who dont want a QB in the draft are crazy. I would hate to pick up a QB in the free agency (other than Carr) simply b/c there is a reason they are FA. Look at all of our pick ups .. not one of them was even decent for us.

I think its about time we got a rookie QB who can count on getting the job done. We dont even need a ALL STAR QB... Most will agree that we are or will be a huge run oriented team.

Maybe not. We are looking at Matt Leinart being the only 1st round QB this year.

Next year could be interesting with Stanton, Quinn, Young, Vick.

The only QB that will carry a first round grade will be Leinart....I doubt any of the Juniors will come out this year. If you look at Saban and the type of QB that he had at LSU...and if you look at the type of QB that Mueller has selected and where he selected them at in the draft....you'll see that the Dolphins won't be selecting a QB in the first round. I'm not counting on Ricky Williams to be in Miami next season...my hunch is the Dolphins will still showcase him in the last six games...and I wouldn't be surprised to see Ricky playing in Arizona next year. Saban and Mueller will use the draft to pick up talent thats badly needed on the Dolphins...and they will use free agency to build the foundation of the team. So look for a talented player that can play right away and that will make a difference in the way the team plays...in their first round pick. GO PHINS!

for one is arz stupid like wanny to give up maybe a good pick for rw? or how about trading RW and a 2nd for fitzgerald or boldwin as boldwin supposedly might be on the move? not sure tho somethign i heard a while back on ESPN. anyways, we dont need a qb going 18-30 for 150-200 yrds, we haev had that in fiedler and frerrote. we need a qb who can complete 22-30 passes for 210 yrds a game.

Personally I wouldn't care if we had a QB that threw for 150 yrds a game as long as he didn't cause costly turnovers. I think all of us would agree we would love to have BIg Ben in Miami, and he doesn't generally have monster games but he wins.

Good post fishypete. I personly dont think that Ricky will be traded but thats just me. Also I think the foundation will be built thrugh the draft while using FA to fill the holes. I agree with the rest of that if Matt dosnt fall to us and I dought he will.

I don't know about that, I don't think any runningback(s) can carry a team. The Chargers were awful untill Brees turned into a very good player. I would rather have Ronnie get 25 carries than split carries with Ricky, but that's just me.

IMO, the defense needs to be adressed in the draft. even the LB corps could use some help. I really hope we go Jimmy Williams round 1.

agree wtih everything u said right there! especiallly about RB i want him to have stats not RW. plus RW is a fumbling whore. he had about 18 in 2 yrs, NFL record. J willaims 1st would be nice but not waht i want. rather go with LB/the Brick/or Ngata then CB 1st rd if no QB is there.

The problem is that this goes for ANY position. There is ALWAYS a REASON why somebody is a free agent. Are you suggesting we never sign anyone as a free agent?
