We have a very tough Wide Receiver situation.

Ginn is a lock, and has looked good.

after that we have marginal receivers, but none have seperated themselves enough to distance themselves. What happens if a decent player from another team is released, who do we release.

Bess and Camarillo are pretty much even, so who do we keep. It seems like the coaches like Camarillo, and Bess won't make it past waivers.

Hagan is still not a starting wide receiver. In his brief time tongith he had 2 drops and a false start.

Wilford has been distant, but they probably won't release him because of his signing bonus and his size.

a very weak core that needs upgrading, but who do they let go??.

I thought Bess looked great tonight. Camarillo has great hands (probably the best hands on the team). If Hagan doesn't produce, there is plenty of competition behind him in these 2 guys.

I say cut Armstrong, and thats it. We have a lot of potential at this position.

Actually I think it is a nice problem to have... Bess and Camarillo have played their way into consideration (Camarillo is clutch and Bess showed his versatility tonight returning punts) Wilford finally woke the hell up... and Armstrong and Henne seem to have real chemistry...

IMHO opinion on a rebuilding team you go with youth when you can and live with the mistakes... if it was up to me... I keep Ginn, Wilford (has the same skill set as Hagan but at least has a career to back him up), Bess, Camarillo and stash Armstrong on the practice squad... Hagan is the guy on the outside looking in... he just keeps making the same freakin' mistakes... A false start and a casual drop on the sidelines??? I have seen enough... end this experiment, the patient has flatlined.

Hagan. Bess has potential and is versatile, Camarillo has great hands, Wilford is the big target we need even though he's stinking it up, and Ginn is our best WR.

our WR situation will be tough this year no doubt... Ginn obviously is our go-to-guy.

otherwise we gotta keep Hagan, though inconsistant and dissapointing, he probably has the best chances to make big plays. Bess i say keep cause he is looking good in the return aspect too. Camarillo will make it.... then there is Wilford, who though has probably been the biggest dissapointment we brought in, not causing seperation or doing anything, he still has playing experience and built i slight name in theNFL already... hopefully he can turn this all around in the season..... those are my thoughts.... now you

i say we resign derrius thompson and have him battle it out with hagan for the most TC hyped wr we have had in the last 10 years.

I have to agree. I just don't think Hagen has what we need. Ginn is obviously our #1 and it seems like it is coming together for him. I really like Bess and Camarillo. They both show a ton of hustle and IMO will work harder than anyone else out there. Also haven't seen many mistakes from either of them. Until tonight Wilford did nothing, but I think he started to show what he can do. He is a big receiver and we need that. As for Hagan, I am getting tired of seeing him drop passes.

hands of stone derek hagen. Yeah ive tried my best to like hagen i really have. When he came out of college wasnt he like the most consistent wr in pac 10 history and caught something like 85% of passes thrown to him. He just doesnt have it. I may not be sure about exactly what it is but im sure he doesnt have it.

ginn is a lock as a starting WR..don't know how hagan looked tonight because i couldn't see the game.. if hagan can't produce early this season wilford will step in.. the last 2 receivers are imo camarillo and bess.. imo bess has the potential to be our #3 receiver next season if he plays solid.. i think jayson foster will be waived and then will be signed to the practice squad.. imo foster has can be used as a randle-el type of guy (reverse passes, reverses, trick plays etc..)

We may have a pleasant surprise de;ivered to us after sat when waivers are available. Im sure Parcels has been scouting wide recievers on other teams for us.
