Agreed...I think Saban just wanted to reassure himself that Rogers wasn't any better than the guys we already have.
 
Other than the usual concerns, lazy, doper, no motivation (already has 16 million), wide receivers with great size can be overrated because they lack quickess. You have to be fast & quick. Welker has made a career out of quickness. While Rodgers might jump through the roof and have a 2nd gear fasst speed, if he can't cut quickly, burst out the first 10 quickly, or have lateral quickness, well they are overrated.
 
I wonder how the Morgan talks are going. The newsclip implied that we are among several teams vying for Quincy Morgan's services. He'd be an upgrade over Cliff Russell that's for sure.
 
if rogers was in shape and an upgrade to our current personnel then saban and bagget would have signed him, there is no question in my mind. saban is always looking to upgrade, that means the rogers is not the guy detroit and the rest of the league were hoping he would be. if he works hard, gets in shape, and stays clean then maybe saban will take a chance on him.
