This would be a non biased assessment from a national hack.... clearly he was looking at a different game than what most saw on here... yes!

"Atlanta’s starters absolutely shreded the Dolphins starters on Friday night.
At the end of the first quarter, the Falcons had a 17-0 lead. They picked up ten first downs to one for Miami. (On a Chad Henne run.) Atlanta gained 159 yards to 17 for the Dolphins.
Chad Henne threw five passes, completing one to a teammate, and two to the Falcons. (In fairness, a bad Anthony Fasano drop led to one of the interceptions.) He also took a couple of big shots."

The homers aren't going to like this get ready for the "your not a real fan" crapola.

That was accurate, with the caveat that not all starters were present of course.

Henne is not a starter in this league, Matt Ryan is.

I mentioned Tomlins interview where he showed a tremendous sense of urgency and called out his team... I was told the Steelers would like me as fan....

I mentioned that losing the individual battles was troublesome... and nothing to do with gameplans... and was told Buffalo could use a fan like me....

The problem is... most on here have no clue that the Dolphins were once feared... once won SB's... now we're a mental check "W" to most teams.... especially at home.... sad

I am not worried that Atlanta starters were much better after a 11 workouts.....they have run the same offense for the last 4 yrs and have very few new faces in the starting line up....we had 11 workouts on a new offense with a QB who is average at best.....this thing is going to take some time. I will watch the game for the first time this afternoon and looking forward to it....

And you could say the same about our D (same D, same players, same Coach).... but the results weren't the same....

but its not the same though we a brand new offense and a new OC its going to taake time

Atlanta didn't score on the Dolphins' first team defense. not sure how that is "shredding".

Bottom line... we lost individual battles on both sides of the ball when the one's were on the field... that's troublesome

as long as they don't score, I'm ok with a few lost "individual battles".
listen, Atlanta is a very good team, they were the #1 seed last year. as a 7-9 team, you're going to lose some battles. and I'm not saying Miami played well, but to say their number 1's on offense "shredded" our starting defense is just plain wrong

It helps when the team you are playing "clearly" scripted plays while your team literally freeballed it the entire night. The one's on the field lacked our THREE BEST OFFENSIVE PLAYERS, while Atlanta brought out their arsenal. Matt Ryan was held in check until A. We started to subsitute B. Fasano tips a perfectly catchable ball up in the air giving the Atlanta offense a short field.

You can spin it anyway you want, but you are putting way to much into a scrimmage that one team put more prepartion into, in front of their home crowd, while the other team did not. That is the real bottom line. If you wanna disregard the season this Dolphins defense had last year for 1 preseason game . . . go ahead, but don't think you are spitting actual knowledge to anybody.

Exactly KDawg. Their offense did nothing against our starting D until they were on a short field against a SUBSTITUTED D. Pretty sure they didnt shred us at all. People get way to worked up, with both positives and negatives.

Obviously no one recalls the defense last pre season was very vanilla and got ran on, passed through and scored on. The defense Is the least of their worries.
