Everyone seems to be overlooking the comeback and the implications of the comeback. The Dolphins came back from an 18 point deficit to tie the game. At that point in the game, we were losing the turnover battle with a -1 turnover differential. The largest comeback we made last year was a 9 point deficit. I do not believe last years team would have been capable of coming back from an 18 point deficit.

The implication is clear to anyone that wants to see it. The talent level on this team has been raised significantly. We outscored the Titans 15-0 in the fourth quarter. Think about that for a moment. The loss is painful, but this team is definitely improving.

Sage Rosenfels lead us on a 20 point comeback once. And unlike Henne, he actually sealed the deal. Sometimes the easiest thing to ask a young QB to do is just throw over and over with nothing to lose.

My comment was not about Henne. It is about the general talent level on the team. It is about the defense shutting out the opponent in the fourth quarter. Our defense has improved. It is about a 1-15 team growing into a consistent compettitor for the division and playoffs every year. It is about the incredible job the trifecta has done in just two years.

It doesn't matter if we came back from a 40 point deficit, we still lost and now have no chance at the playoffs.

Not that it would have mattered anyway. We would have lost in the first rounds anyway.

You are overloking the fact that we were down 18 pts to begin with.

that shouldn't have happened. That's not how you win on he road.

the hartline was a fluke catch, highly doubt we wouldve scored another td without that play. we were pretty lucky to be that close. although we wouldve put up 40 points without all those turnovers. so its a toss up either way. regardless im proud of my fins.

how do we have no chance at playoffs? we have an easier task at making the playoffs than most of the other teams do. go be debbie downer some where else. nobody wants to hear your whining.

It is true that the loss yesterday severly hurt the playoff chances, but they still have a slim shot of pulling out a wildcard. Just now they need ALOT of help instead of a little.

Overall the team is improving, Henne will improve with time, remember he's a first year starter. Need a few more peices in the off season and this team will be ready to contend. Everyone needs to look at the long term picture, good things will come for 2010 and beyond.......

I think that comeback was huge for you. Take a steap back and think down the road(I know it's hard right now)- Henne is proving he can play when it matters most. No game is out of reach. When I got in my car following another Jet home debacle i checked on your score and was pissed to learn you had come all the way back to tie it. No game is out of reach, this is a growing year for henne and you should feel very confident in him going forward.

I am focused on the positives, but I am not overlooking it. I expect it with two rookie corners starting. I am disappointed in the red zone turnovers (a cardinal sin), but I am impressed in the comeback.

I appreciate your post; perhaps, some people will realize the meaning of Chad Henne's ability. He still has a tremendous amount of growth to undergo. Some of the missed third down conversions remind me of Eli Manning or Brett Farve in their first couple of season. Throw a blazing bullet when 3/4 speed is more than enough. Hopefully, he will learn.

And to think this is one of the youngest team in the NFL... Its hard to look foward after a loss like this but the future looks pretty bright right now...

Well I definitely agree that the defense has improved drastically. They do give up their big plays here and there but they are actually great at minimizing the damage to that. Its a far cry from the defense that bowed out against the Colts.

The defense hasn't budged against the Pats, Jags, or Titans in the waning minutes and that is something that really has to be appreciated. The defense isn't to the point where it can be considered a strength, not with the safety/secondary issues, but as a whole it does enough good things to have it all balance out and gave the offense a chance to win the games against some good teams.

Big test against the Texans though.
