I have come to the conclusion

Ross one of the top 100 wealhiest men in America

Welcomes other celebrity owners

Ross wanted Harbaugh out of Stanford

Ross gave ext. to TS (Lame Duck Coach) when it failed - TS still the coach but took the ext. even though he sees the "whack job" coming and that is why he took mo money

While Luck wasn't leaving school when Harbaugh left...

Luck can pull a Manning at any time and leverage a deal

Henne last year of contract

Ross tighteneing his wallet when it came to spending

Curious personnel decisions (Columbo)

Drafted a few Offensive pieces (DT, Pouncey, Gates)

Passed on Mallett over and over again

Ross shut down an Orton trade

Ross is driving the bus if it makes you happy - and yet many of you hate Ross and want Suck4Luck and he is leading you right there
 
Mmmmm..we shall see, good point's though.
 
You give Ross to much credit...the only thing he is driving is this franchise right into the ground.
 
Ross, simply put, is a business man. He cares about profit on the books, not production on field. Although your post is intriguing and believable enough, your giving Ross way too much credit, especially in the area of football savvy.

I don't know,he might have some points,and it wouldn't surprise me if Ross was behind some of the craziness just to get Luck.
 
I thought about this when watching the orange bowl last year. Ross watching Andrew Luck murder VT in his house. But then again he also could just belive in Henne or some crap like that both being Michigan Men and all.

Interesting theory...it could definitely be in the back of his mind.

As I've said before, we either have a smart owner who has a tight belt on this regime, and is going to let them sink or swim this year, without hamstringing the future.


Or, we have a numbers crunching owner who only cares about the bottomline....I certainly hope it is the former and not the latter.

The last two drafts Ireland has to own, last year he let Mallet slide...

Misi was playing injured and has not looked right, this is Jared's first season and he along with about everyone else looks out of shape and ill prepared

So yuo amke a good fair point but remember that Ireland went with Ross to try to land Harbaugh - Ireland has inside info and may be looking over his shoulder but clearly the regime did not spend its way out of the basement as the media was told they would.

Ireland did not spend to save his job

It would not shock me to see Ireland stay in the aftermath

Money is not an issue with Ross - he gives his lame duck coach an ext to stay - when TS himself sees the writing on the wall decides "Hell I better get paid when all is said and done" and takes an ext...
 
No offense but your optimism is unrealistic. Steven Ross is in over his head. If he was "driving the bus" he would have fired Sparano BEFORE chasing Harbaugh last year. That was just a stupid move. If he was driving the bus he would have Ireland who is best friends with Peterson just like Ross is. Yeah Ross is driving the bus and he is taking us right off a cliff! I wish he would drive the bus to Los Angeles so I can co to the games.

Ha Ha you may be right but this is the deal - real estate tycoons work both ways to the middle all the time... You think he is "clumsy" but again he knows how to work the deal in his favour or he wouldn't have that money to begin with... You think he is counting pennies, he has the dough, he wants to bring an event exp. to Miami (a place I have never been), he wants to bring attention to his Fball team he needs to the players, Henne is simply an average football player not a celebrity and a football player, everybody can see what LUCK has done with average play-makers around him the comon fan has been counting on Luck for some time now why wouldn't an owner with clout make a push?

I don't knock Henne because he will succeed in this league but needs to get out of Miami
 
I don't think that Ross is that football savvy, but after his fiasco last season, he's probably listening to Peterson and/or others.
