Owner Stephen Ross is "ready to make a major offer," according to a source.

It's Denver. Denver has a good defense and even beat the Steelers in the playoffs.

How do we know ross even said this...I love the term "source" because everyone claims to have one then wind up getting the story wrong. We need to just relax and let it play out instead of getting worked up over every twitter news report.

Yup.

All you have to do is sit on the couch, and tell your wife to say "Hey, I want you to tell me that Peyton is going to Denver"

Wife : "Peyton is going to Denver"

then you go and report "My source says Denver is in the lead!"

and if anyone questions you about it, you just go...."well I can't reveal my sources"......

They beat the Steelers in the Playoffs. However, there were many times Tebow escaped the pocket that if Peyton had been back there, he would have gotten blasted. My questions is, if all the reports say Peyton has no more visits or meetings scheduled, then who is Ross "ready to make this major offer" to?

Well, you are making an assumption that the Denver Post article is accurate. Right now, the only thing I believe is that Peyton does not want to talk about money. As I mentioned before, he wants to talk about team infrastructure. What are the coach and management plans to get to the SB. Draft, FA etc etc. Ross, Ireland, Philben & Sherman need to sit down with Peyton and discuss strategy moving forward. I hope these guys bring their A-game to this meeting and don't come off like a bunch of goof balls.....if indeed there is a meeting...who knows.......:ponder:

I just don't get why everyone goes off the deep end over "twitter reporting"...you guys don't realize they say one thing then tell you the complete opposite two days later? Schefter, mortenson, clayton etc are wrong a lot ...beat writers are wrong a lot...I think people around here need to wait until something official comes out before flipping out. I mean If I wrote an article sating manning was leaning towards denver would you believe me? Just because someone is a reporter doesn't make it true, in todays world of reporting you don't need to be right you just need to be the first one to break the news, whether its right or not.

what makes you think i'm eating all this media stuff up with a spoon...i decided the day he was released that if we haven't gotten a sniff by the opening of free agency it doesn't bode well for us...i could care less what every clown with a twitter account has to say...until manning has signed elsewhere or until free agency opens with no progress i'm fine with how things are on the manning front...

Sencable , patient , almost zin

Still tomorrow should be interesting no doubt.

And let's hope there is indeed a meeting. Infrastructure is huge and unfortunately both Arizona and Denver are run by men who have taken teams to the Super Bowl in the past and we're breaking in a new head coach. So, if i'm Peyton, that has to mean something.

Stephen Ross is his own worst enemy. Dude could never play poker because he can't buy the table. I mean I still think the way he treated Sparano with the Harbaugh thing it's Karma biting him on the ass again. Manning won't come to Miami because he won't feel like he can win a championship here. With NE, the Jets, playoffs will always be a struggle and harder to get homefield in the playoffs. Easier schedule, easier shot at titles and playoff spots make Denver the logical choice. With the cap space they have and more room to fit personal to Manning I just can't see him picking Miami over that situation.

Sad, really...But you're right...if there is a reason why Manning would choose Denver over Miami, its because of this right here...easier division...not about the money, but about winning another super bowl before he calls it a carrier...and although Peyton doesnt seem the type that would back off from a challenge, at this stage in his career he needs to get to the playoffs quickly

Guys, this is a 36-year-old quarterback with nerve damage to his throwing arm. I don't care how smart he is, what he has done in the past or how badly he wants to win another Super Bowl. He is damaged goods. He has not worked out for any team. All he has proved in the Duke video is that he is not so crippled as to be unable to throw a football. Whether he can throw with velocity and accuracy over an entire game is totally untested. Yet here are these three teams panting to throw huge amounts of money at him, sight unseen. It's surreal; like someone has suspended common sense in favor of auction fever. Let him go to Denver or the Cardinals.

He needs a team to grt there with, Arizona, Denver, Tennesee and whom ever else is no better off than Miami. As a matter of fact his chances are greater if he choose Miami.

Ross needs to shut up this i got a big bag of money crap doesn't impress Manning and it never works! Manning doesn't care about that! He cares about competing and structure and that its it! Our best chance is for Philbon and Sherman to convince him the system fits him and this team can compete. Ross and Ireland need to go sit in the corner shut the **** up and color.

How do you know how much money has been discussed? He is worth the shot because no other QB can fill in now like Manning.

Chad Henne sighted at Dolphins facility (per Joe Rose on WQAM radio show), maybe Ross is going to make a major offer to Henne? this place would melt down if that ever happened
