Is anyone else already sick of this guy? It's only Feb 16th and I'm sick of hearing this bum talk.

On HBO last week he ripped Phil Jackson and Joe Toree. While cute and ammusing, it wasn't called for. Now, today he is ripping Nomar and A-Rod for the teams they are on in the WBC. Like it friggin matters!

This guy is going to talk his way out of a great job. I don't mind guys going "against the grain" and not talking "coach speak" and all. But at some point it turns into SCHTICK and you are just being outrageous for the sake of being outrageous!

Someone tell him to shut up!

I have a hard time liking a guy that has 1 WS win, and is ripping the likes of Phil, Joe, and now even A-Rod and Nomar. Nobody cares about this baseball classic, and I am pretty sure nobody cares is A-Rod plays with the US or Dominican or Nomar with Mexico..

I think he is great, and he speaks what he feels, not want people want him to feel.

And I agree with him about Nomar and A-Rod!

Ozzie should have done his homework, especially since Nomar isn't playing in the WBC. Of course the interview might have taken place before Nomar decided not to play.

Anyway I thought Ozzie was a jerk ever since the last weekend of the season when he taunted the Indian fans holding his hands around his throat. I really wished the Indians would have beaten the ChiSox for the division just so Gullen should be the one who would have choked.

Ozzie is great. He doesn't give the typical coach talk that basically every other coach gives. He's out of line sometimes but who cares. If ya don't like what he is saying change the channel.

See but as a Red Sox fan you probably have no problem with Curt Schilling ranting.

Me no understand a word coming out of his mouth. :D

To me Ozzie still acts like a player and not a manager.A little too ****y and arrogant.JMO
That ****y and arrogant attitude got him a WS win. His team adopted that attitude last year and it payed off for them.

No,imo his teams talent and style of play got the Sox a WS.

Three former players that I can think of that speak there mind!

Ozzy, Barkley, and I just lost the others one! (to many drugs in the 70's I guess!

They speak what they feel, you might not agree, but I find it refreshing,

Agree fully.

There's a big difference between ranting and showing up fans and a team like Gullen did that last week of the season in Cleveland.

As a ball player I love Schilling but he does have a big mouth and says stupid things which I don't always agree with. Just because a player is on the Red Sox doesn't mean I have to defend him all the time. Perfect example was when Damon complained to the media that Schilling shouldn't be the closer, Mike Timlin should be. That was none of his business and I jumped all over Damon on the 2005 Red Sox thread.

I think Gullen is a pretty good manager but I could care less what he says? I DO however have a problem when he goes out of his way to show up people like he did in Cleveland. That's not professional at all, that's something a little leaguer would do.

I'm obviously a Chisox fan, but I think it was that bad. The Chisox got a ton of heat for choking, and that was the talk of baseball in September, but when it mattered they won. Maybe Ozzie shouldn't of done that, but if they did not close out September well and won the division Ozzie is not the manager, IMO. If fans are gonna get on him for being out of line, I think the Magglio Ordonez comments are much worse.
