Package Deal with Philly

Who in the right mind would trade a athletic freak like Dion Jordan? He will Out rush OV and Wake in his third year. he can cover any TE in the league and he will become a great leader on our Defense.. Just play the guy Coyle!

Homerism at it's finest. I like Dion too and want him to become a beast but cmon

Why do SO many want to dump Dion?? he's just one season in, and a lot of professionals believe he has the potential to be a great player for years to come. I don't understand it.

It's the short attention span, instant gratification generation.

Here is a thought, or more of a wish.

Offer Philly an even trade Wallace for Jackson, and package it with a trade for Jordan for their 1st round pick.
That would give us the firepower to move up and take Evans or Watkins.

EA Sports has fried your brain IMO

Yeah, Maybe so but to even talk about trading DJ baffles my mind.. He is a beast and if Coyle plays him properly I'm sure Dolphin fans will not be upset that we moved up to grab him..

why stop there? let's see if they'll trade McCoy for Cam Wake and Jason Peters for Brent Grimes.

Trading Jordan would kill our cap with a $12M hit. Do posters not understand this?

Look at Chip Kelley and then look at Philbin,

Chip was able to get the most out of desean even though he whined & complained

to the media like a little baby from the very start of training camp last year.

Philbin is not going to be able to do that, and he doesn't have the personality or smarts that Kelley does

or the offensive smarts that he has. It would be a bad fit, I seriously doubt that they would even consider it

If this is a serious question then I'll tell you why. Opportunity cost. The first and second round draft picks used to get Jordan represent two potential starters on a team that was one win away from making the playoffs. Given what he cost to obtain many fans expected that he would not only be a starter but also a dominant player from day one.

Now I don't think the Dolphins are in any position to trade him, but he MUST win a starting spot and dominate next year or he will be nothing more than another Jeff Ireland bust. The NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" league and the word "potential" is just about the worse thing you can say about a player: it means the player hasn't done anything noteworthy yet.

Why would you ask if it's a serious question? Opportunity cost. Don't get that one. He represents two potential starters. Hmm, like Taylor and Dallas Thomas? I think I'd be ok with Dion for those two potential starters.

If you could identify who would be a dominant player, we would hopefully do it, but since it depends on who is coaching him, and where he plays, what scheme, you can't say he isn't dominant, he just was not last year. Coyle was here last year, I'm sure he was brought in to the room before the draft to see how he'd be used. Maybe Coyle is failing Dion's potential?

The NFL may be what have you done for me lately, but the Miami Dolphins aren't. Ross kept Sparsano after actively searching for his replacement, he kept Ireland. What has Philbin done for me lately? Well, he lost the last 2 games to make the playoffs.

We need to let Dion come in to camp with the 1st year jitters gone, and learn (Hopefully some from JT) and work hard. Film shows if he was used properly or not by Coyle. This year should tell a lot about Dion. Be patient.

Why does everyone wanna trade Jordan? Dude could be a force once he's hit the weight room and learns some technique, he's a freakish athlete...just raw and wakes not getting younger...
