Rob Demovsky, of PackersNews.com, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/17/nfl">Green Bay Packers interest in free agent LB Lavar Arrington (Redskins) is not a tactic to appeal to QB Brett Favre. "Every player we try to sign is because we're trying to build the best football team possible," coach Mike McCarthy said. "We're always trying to add good players. I don't know why you'd want to twist it that way or why anybody would."

Then why did they wait to be active in free agency. This team knows that a super bowl is no where in sight so why would they sign hig priced free agents to long term deals. Why sign LA to a 5 year deal so he and brett could play together for one year. And if the interest is so genuine why hasn't he already signed with them

Hmmm...how can I put this. DUH!!! What else is he going to say publically. The owner doesn't like signing free agents so he has to make it sound like Lavar will be the exception.

If we have the best offer on the table right now and he is still playing games visiting teams ....... it just shows a few things

1. He's in it for the money and not to win....
2. Saban didn't budge when negotiating with bree's when he had otehr options and he definetly Wont for lavar...
