Quarles is a pass catching threat at TE and a decent blocker. The former Penn State alum filled in for Jermichael Finley last year and did a real decent job filling in. He finished with 21 receptions 231 yards and TD. With the Packers recent situation at DE with Mike Neal, I would love for Miami to trade Merling straight up for Quarles.

Because there is no guarantee that the Dolphins will be able to sign him. Trading an expendable Merling for him assures he's a Dolphin.

Richard Quinn went to IR. Their TEs are Rosario, Fells, Thomas & Green.
