Palm Beach Post has source that says same as Omar

I think telling a player to be a leader and help toughen up a young player is fine. It is how Incognito went about it that is the problem. Not what the coach or coaches apparently asked.
 
“Pouncey and Incognito, they talk to each other that way — redneck, (n-word), it doesn’t bother the two of them. It’s how they communicate,” the source said. “They bond with one another and they were trying to bring Jonathan in the circle.”
Martin was said to have been feeling tremendous pressure to succeed. He left the team Oct. 28, the day after he didn’t play well in a loss at New England.

This is probably as close to the truth as it gets folks .... a rat wuss throwing his team mates under the bus because of his own inadequacies.

I don't think Richie was trying to do psychological damage to Martin. I resent Martin so much for causing this fiasco. Deal with it in house and there's no issues at all.
 
If this is true then the staff will probably lose their jobs IMO. I in no way believe the staff asked Richie to do the things he did but Richie went over board. I also believe this kind of nudging from the staff happens in every locker room. In our case Richie went too far on a player that was mentally unstable. Unfortunately it has blown up to the point where political correctness will force Ross' hands in dismissing the staff IMO. Ross will be left with no choice even though I like Philbin and his staff. It's has gotten way out of hand and uncontrollable now. Ross will be pinned into a corner. Hope I am wrong.

I can't help but think back to Martin's original texts to Incognito, in which he said it was nothing personal against Richie, but it was the 'culture' of the locker room. Wowza.
 
All I can think of is, if Martin ever plays professional football again, can you just imagine the trash opposing players are going to say to him?

We don't want the truth if it won't get Philbin and Ireland fired.
 
Maybe when Richie asked Martin to go out and try to find some pu$$y, Jonathan misinterpreted it and thought he meant the backdoor kind.

I want to see the actual texts. full disclosure. I want to see what Richie said and Jonathan's responses.

The media is going off a tailor made statement prepared my Martin's people, which conveniently leave out Martin's responses. By doing so paints a visual that they want to create, and not necessarily the actual circumstances and context they were made.

That's precisely what I thought. I had a feeling. This is how Pouncey and Cog communicated. Looks like its true
 
This is no way implicates the coaching staff, they asked Richie, a team leader, to help Jonathan something he needed to do his job-toughness. They never told him to text racial slurs and threats to him. But I do understand that if Richie and Mike we constantly calling each other names and they never did it to Jonathan, he felt left out. Richie tries to bring him in by teasing him the same way, perhaps thinking this would make him part of the group.
