It seems Carson Palmer wants to force Mike Brown's hand. I will ask now that it might be a reality...would you want Palmer if he is released or you could get him for a mid-rounder?

I guess the question comes down to how much faith you have in Henne? How quick Palmer could round into shape? Would Palmer be a long term answer?

Should be interesting.

I hope he shows up and forces Mike to pay him 11 miilion as a backup........not sure I would want him this late in preseason.

This, more than anything, should make the Dolphins stay away.

Palmer is definitely *not* a long term answer.

You just have to think Palmer's doing this just to screw Mike Brown

No, Henne is playing well at the moment. I hope if he shows up, we refuse to answer any phone calls coming from Ohio.

I am with many of you. I was really interested at the end of last year and after the lockout. However, being this late when could actually be effective for this team?

I do not see this FO making the move anyways.

Yeah too late for him now, but I sure as heck hope he shows up. Never liked the Bengals, would be hilarious to see Palmer **** them over. But hey, they didn't give his brother a legit shot to keep make the roster just because Carson wasn't showing up, so he should **** them over.

He should srew them over like they screwed him over

All Palmer has to do is show up and sign a piece of paper, and collect 11.5mil or be released. Releasing Palmer would accelerate the Bengals cap number I think...

Have to say, that would be well played by Palmer. Was all for bringing him in, but its probably too late at this point.

But if he was cut, then I really couldn't see the harm.

My gut says it's the chance at an easy 11 million, or finally being traded/cut. He's about to make the bengals owner look worse than al davis. It's probably too late to trade him this year. Now they have to give him what he wants ( release ) or they have to pay him the 11 mil while he most likely hangs out on the sideline. Man that 2nd/3rd rounder sure sounds good now, doesn't it bengals fans ??

The only thing they can do to get back at him is to start him right away and have him look awful out there. That wouldnt be very good for business either. But hey this is the franchise that "supposedly" turned down two 1st round picks to keep OchoCinco around year or two before testing FA. Awful.

It wasn't really a secret that Miami wanted Palmer during the offseason. With Henne playing better and the season set to begin, im not sure if Miami would be interested.
