hey does anyone have any info on carson palmers brother? his name is Jordan i think and he plays qb for UTEP, hes comin out and i was wondering if anything knows if hes any good and if hes anything like his brother?
 
I've seen a few of UTEP's games....they run a very pass happy offense like Texas Tech, Houston and Hawaii....throw first, run 2nd. He is a pretty decent QB and puts up a lot of yards, but I would not put him in the same category as Carson. I think he is around 6'5" 230, has kind of a side-arm moition, one negative is he is very slow and not too mobile, but he has a very strong arm. I would say he is a lot like Kolb of Houston....decent, but probably not going to be a first day pick.
 
He is okay physically. He will however, make stupid throws and interceptions that will leave you scratching your head. He can run out of the pocket and is mobile it is just not his forte. He is not fast but fast enough I would say. Having said that I do not want Palmer on this team.

I hear ya. I wont disagree although I know nothing of him except he has decent size. I read where he flutters the ball and all. I dunno. if we go for a QB...I am rooting more for Quinn (I know he may not be there) or Stanton (Maybe in the 2nd rd but wont happen either if he keeps doing well like they are saying).

Word from the AS game practices is that he is immobile and is throwing "flutterballs".....does not sound like a ringing endorsment...when I saw him I was not that impressed...frankly none of the second tier QB's are very exciting this year, so I would roll the dice on someone like Justin Rascati from James Madison in the 7th if anything....but I am not Randy Mueller.....

He throws way too many INT'S I know that
 
I could see us drafting him and develping him. I've read he's really had no coaching. He has the size, the arm, and a good QB coach can teach the rest. The old adage in the NFL was 3-5 years for a college QB to start in the NFL, use that that time. We have Harrington who can start in the mean time.

But if he develops, perhaps he can make an ascent up the depth chart :D
