As I traverse Colorado, I've been unable to post on training camp and preseason so far. I even thought of two new usernames to check in with via the local public library...
First:
Evil Yoda and the Croc
Second:
Tertiary Syphilis
So without further ado...
- I've never seen such overreactions to the first preseason game...Ever!
- I think a few posters brought up Burke's propensity to blitz heavy in practice, then play soft serve vanilla in the game. I'm as uneasy as anyone when it comes to Burke, but if he's overcompensating in practice to validate himself as D. Coor. then he's truly putting Gase's tenure at risk...that said, I'd rather him stay vanilla in preseason.
- Our CB's may seem underwhelming due to Burke's vanilla scheme in preseason. I only got to see highlights of the first game. If this is the case, he's killing their confidence.
- Fitzpatrick is as advertised. Think Burke may be Tunsiling his progress as a FS by moving him to slot, though.
- Gesicki, huh? He almost caught that Catamaran by Sails, I mean, Fales. Just like Fitz, don't even think of easing him in...
- Baker is new breed. Like I said, I only saw highlights against Tampa and on the play where Baker ankle clamped the RB on his side; the Tampa guard stopped because he thinks he's in position to block Baker, lol. Baker just flys around him untouched. I didn't get to see his coverage skills, but wasn't there a practice tweet a couple days ago where he batted a pass away from one of our speedster? Just glad they're putting him in with the ones.
- First we have three really good #2 CB's from early camp tweets and now we have none!?! WTF! and now we're diminishing those three guys by nervously bringing in Breeland for a visit and moving McCain to boundary? Burke should've known about Tank and Mctyer for this much of a sea change in the secondary.
- Our offensive line may actually allow Tanny to make deep throws this year.
- Love our RB's and I know Ballage got pantsed in front of everybody this week over blitz pickup, but the kid can pass protect...and run...and catch...really well.
- It's Gesicki, Grant and Wilson time! Now where ya at? Where ya at? ... Now there ya go! There ya go! I'm very hyped on this lineup, can you tell?
- Asiata is alive!
...and good night, Mrs. Ochmonech, wherever you are
