Yeah I always been one to like a good debate, it's all love people if you don't agree. Do Rishard a favor and trade him to the Panthers if he is not a part of our long term plans. Stills, Laundry and Parker are for the most part the future of our franchise at wideout. Rishard could be a star in Charlotte and give himself the chance to be Cam Newton's go to guy. I live in Charlotte and believe me I don't see a Panther WR close to what Rishard could be(Ted Ginn is their most proven WR). We won't miss a beat and maybe get something really good in return from them.

I'd wait a while to make sure we have all our guys set before doing a deal like that... Do they have any backup guards or tackles we could use?

Fin fans overestimate the trade value of our bench warmers.

I like Rishard Matthews, and I know that he has the potential to be good. But he hasn't done enough in actual games to have any sort of trade value, other than maybe a 7th rd draft pick.

The way other teams will see him is that he was a 7th rd draft pick who couldn't get on the field, ahead of post-injury Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson, who were basically limping around the field in 2014.

Matthews is having a nice camp and if Carolina called I would entertain it but his value won't give you much in return.

Depends on the offer but we are not in rebuilding mode. Id like us to go into season with best 53 and Matthews fits. Panthers would likely be more interested in Byrd or Preston, a big target.

Matthews is more valuable to miami than any other team. Miami can't get fair value for him since no one (no smart gms) will overpay for him. Matthews knows the Dolphins offense and has built rapport with Tannehill.

I'm not on board with weakening our area of strength, especially since we would only be able to get a pack of tic-tacs in return.

Love Laundry

what would we get? a 5th? I mean having the depth is so much more worth it. I agree with trading one of the WR's on the bubble. But we sure could use a FS

Yea let's get rid of an up-and-coming player at a position we're finally deep at with Parker's health still up in the air while also breaking up the chemistry that has been built between our franchise QB and his longest tenured wide receiver...

Smh!

I wonder if other teams fan bases are so quick and eager to wanna get rid of young talent like ours?

Matthews is about to break out this year! No way I'm giving him up with an aging Jennings on the roster. Plus the value wouldn't be worth it imo!

Up and coming? It's his 4th year in the league and by all accounts, he's still our 5th WR... Now I'm not saying we should defiantly trade him because his value is marginal.... but if a team was willing to give us a decent guard or a good backup LT for him, you just have to pull the trigger...

We've invested a lot of time and roster space on Matthews and with his upside in mind its doubtful we'd get a trade offer at the value point needed -- I'd say at least a 3rd. I say that because the kid is easily worth a 3rd round value spot to us next draft to try and IMMEDIATELY replace his potential right now.

Other than that -- it's ill advisable to trade players o in a prime position to be significant contributors with lots of of upside.

It's a passing league and ya need dudes who catch the pig.
