okay, Before you all chew me up over this, all i ask is u take the facts into consideration...

With DE Mike Rucker announcing his retirement today, would the Panthers consider trading and trying to get JT to compliment and play on the other side of Julius Peppers? personally i dont think JT will be traded to ANY team, but what would the panthers offer?

IMO, in an ideal world, the panthers would give us either LB Jon Beason and their 3rd round pick 67 or CB Chris Gamble and their 4th round pick 109... but then again, its not an ideal world and i dont see this happening. but is a trade with the Panthers completely out of the question?

The Panthers need a QB more than a DE.

Jake Delhomme will have a great comeback season this year, IMHO. he will be 100% healthy and has a a deep number of receiver options as well as good runningbacks available to his disposal

Why exactly would the Panthers be willing to trade their best young player AND a third round pick?

I think with Carolina talking of Peppers getting traded or leaving that they might do this . I posted it on another thread about an hour ago. I think we could trade JT for their #43 and #109 which is a 2nd and 4th which everyone says thats what we should get. Peppers is a LE and JT is a RE. that would be a pretty good rush attack. then they couldnt double J Pepp. With the #43 we could take Flacco/Molden/Kelly/L Jackson or Keller and with the #109 we could grab a good DT in Marcus Harrisonor D Pressley, CB Orlando Scandrick or LB/De Crable,Bell,,C Ellis
Or we could get their 2 2nd rounders #67 and #74 and take #67 Gooden/Rachal/Greco and at #74 Caldwell/Avery/Cottam/Bryant/Smith/Nelson
I mentioned so many players cause I think some people still want to keep JT and this is a list of who we could have instead. They are all pretty good

I like Delhomme, but that Tommy John surgery he had is no joke.
