When I was a child growing up in Michigan this was one of my 1st book reports.
Let's hope the Miami defense makes Stafford look like George Plimpton tomorrow.
 
Stafford is a legit franchise QB that is elite. With a bye week and megaton coming back, we have one of the biggest challenges of the year. Plus, I think Bush will want to stick it up Joe's wazzu.
 
Bush and Johnson are coming off injuries, I'm much more concerned with their defense and specifically their D-line
 
Stafford is not elite. He can be very good at times. Above average some of the time. And downright awful the rest. 11 TDs 7 INT this season is hardly elite. Even if your main WR is out.

stafford is a gamer but a lot of his success comes from him having literally a top 3 all time candidate at receiver who's picture is in the dictionary under "absolute physical freak of nature".

his best years are calvin johnson's best years and it's not a coincidence. one hand feeds the other I understand but calvin johnson has been in his own tier of WR for quite a while now
 
I can name ten quarterbacks I'd take in a heartbeat over Matt Stafford. Apparently we have a very generous definition of elite now.

Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Manning, Luck, Rapistberger, Romo, Wilson, Rivers, Smith. Just off the top of my head.

You could easily argue that Tannehill is having a better year than Stafford:
RT is beating Stafford in Accuracy, TD/INT Ratio, QB Rating, and has taken fewer sacks ...

Agreed, in this era, if your career accuracy is not over 60% and your career QB rating is not over 90%, you are not elite. Stafford meeting neither of those metrics.

Now you are dating yourself. I remember the movie was pretty funny. What a PR move by Lions back in the day. They sucked but drew attention for other reasons. Kind of like the red carpet in Miami a few years back

I might not call Stafford elite, but he is a better QB than Melty, imo.

He can make some surprisingly good plays. Then he can turn around and make some dumb ones -- even w. the best of talent around him.

Let's hope that he makes a few dumb ones tomorrow -- that turn into turnovers.
