Many of us are excited to see what Mr. Bill Parcells can do in action. Many of us think that he can be the factor in the turnaround we have all wanted. For those of you who are still skeptical, fear not, for i am about to turn that viewpoint into excitement.

We can all see what Parcells did in New England, New York, and Dallas. Parcells was only with Dallas for a few years but now they are a perennial superbowl contendor. He did all of this with an owner that wanted certain players that Bill may not wanted to have. An owner that got his way because it was either his way, or the highway.

Bill comes to a struggling dolphins team and brings a whole plethora of people that were on his staff, that he can trust. Bill can do WHATEVER he wants in this organization. He has the power to over-rule any choice made and he has the freedom to pick players that he wants, instead of who Jerry Jones wants. This freedom, i believe, will greatly increase the impact he has on this football team. So i hope two years from now i look back and think, finally this organization hired a man devoted to the job.

Here's to a competitive and healthy 2008-2009 season, and heres to bringing new talent to this team and bringing them to where they belong, the promise land.

With the right drafting and a couple of quality FA's we may not be that far off IMO. Good ST's and ground and pound with R@R while the D rests and good feild position to work with will produce wins.

well Parcells does have a history of turning losing teams into winners in his previous 3 stops prior to coming to us,but that was as a coach....now with him as our VP of Football Operations,i hope he continues his winning ways, and i'm confident he will.

I just hope that when a setback occurs (and it will) we, as the Dolphin faithful, will not overreact and start weeping, wailing, and cursing the football gods. Nobody is perfect, nobody gets it right every time. Lets trust the Tuna through thick and thin even though we might not always agree with him. After all, who could we have gotten who would have been better?

I still remember how confident I felt when Jimmy Johnson was hired, and we all know how bad that stint turned out once the dust finally settled. I have the utmost confidence in Parcells / Ireland, but at the same time I have to remain cautious due to our failing attempts of the past...

Wanny wasn't respected as a so called "players coach", none of the guys on the team liked Saban at all, and as for Cameron, he couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. Now we've got Sparano, who many consider to be the perfect mixture of discipline / energy / and commitment. Let's just cross our fingers, and hope he's everything Parcells hired him to be....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Well, I'll bet you Bill don't waste 3-4 drafts with 1st and 2nd round HB's like JJ.:( I don't see anyone on the roster being able to get away with any slacking or troublemaking with this regime. Sparano was supposedly loved by all the Cowboys and he just hit's me as the type of person that will succeed.

I think that the downfall of Jimmy and the offense was the mistake of dumping Gary Stevens... JJ dumped Terry Kirby who was a good 3rd down back and backup....gave us a good D though. Now with all of the special teams guys we are signing, Wanny would do the reverse...draft ST and try to get starters via FA...lol
