Ok, in mulling this loss as well as this season over I could come to only one conclusion. Sparano and Parcells knew this wasnt going to be the year. While Happy with last years dramatic turn around as experienced football men they had to know they dont yet have the tallent.
Sure they put on the good face as defending AFC champions but they arent idiots. It's their job to field the best possible team they can with the tallent they have and there is now way we were going to repeat this year.
They all knew Henne was the real deal and he is. So the quarterback position is solidified. Parts of the defense are there. Hartline was as great find on offense. Ricky and Ronnie great! But the rest of the team? A toss up. They have to know we are are still quite a few free agents and draft picks away. Especially at the W/O position.
They really are doing magical things with the tallent they have and they are building for the future. We as fans are an impatient bunch. That goes with the territory. But in the confines of the old mans office they knew what they had this year and they just have to make the best of it.
