Say what you want about JT, the way parcells handled the whole situation when JT came down to see him caused this whole thing to explode. It could have been handled in a much better way (by both sides) but mostly Parcells.

Oh well, gotta move on. I love JT and he is one of my favorite Dolphins of all time. We will be missed....but no hard feelings at all. Hopefully he is sent somewhere with a chance to get a ring. He deserves it.

I cant say i'm happy about the way Taylor has been either though, i think the fans are over reacting as usual, condemning the guy because he leaves the team for ten weeks. But this could have been handled better. He should have been traded during the draft anyway, THAT's how Parcells mishandled it, not being the cold hearted *** that he normally is by just brushing off JT.....Who pretty much IS this franchise.

is not Parcells fault at all....JT wants to be an actor when he should be here with his teamates.....I can't wait for him to just go so we can just move on...as for the team owning him something....he's gotten millions from the team, what else does he wants? He's been a great player but he doesn't care to be here with us so let him go...I hope he gets traded to last place team!

Ozzy rules!!

No man. JT going on tv and not practicing caused this situation to explode.

I love the guy, but thats where this really started. JT made it very clear that he wasn't going to 'fall-in' line with Sparano and Parcells. Its been that way for awhile. Listening to him talk, the words he was using, he would always sound like he was above the team. That wont fly.

Parcells has a job to do, he and the new regime have to wash the dolphins mouth of the tatse of 1-15. it doesn't help when your most visible player is off dancing on a TV show. Jason brought this upon himself.

Good post.. Im not going to blame it on Parcells though for the fact that JT publically stated his intentions were to be with Miami and to be at OTA's, so thats what I expected. Parcells hasnt been said a word, which is probably something JT should have done.

well even though I am vehemtly pissed off at him, I wish him luck and even moreso I want him traded ASAP to keep the distraction to a minimal.

The fan overreaction is what fueled my thread starter probably more than the parcells vs JT thing.

The guy gave this franchise everything he had for 10+ years and played at a high level...the fans should appreciate that and stop being so selfish. Of course, I'm one of those fans who doesnt believe in boooing and doesn't believe the players or the teams I root for owe me anything. You can bet everyone thats down on JT feels like they were wronged and deserve better.

This all boils down to one thing ... Taylor wants to get paid 100% of his salary, but doesn't want to put 100% effort into the team. Honestly, Parcells isn't that hard to get along with. Ask Bryan Cox or Keyshawn Johnson or any other player that was called a "headcase" who loved playing for Parcells. It's really very simple. If you respect the organization and the game, he'll respect you. At the end of the day Taylor wants the best of both worlds ... he wants to start his movie career while simultaneously socking away 7.5 million from the Dolphins into his retirement coffers. That doesn't deserve "respect" from Parcells or anyone else.

If he wants to persue a Hollywood career ... fine .. .go do it. Just don't cash paychecks with the Dolphins and attempt to do both at the same time.

Agreeing with a Jets fan, is a first for me. However, you're absolutely right. Jason did this to himself. Parcells is doing his job and is trying to establish a new culture in Miami.

So does anyone think Parcells says fine, hold out, I'm not trading you....and then placed on the football/non-injury list? Player is under contract case closed.
Chad Johnson will play for the Bengals this year, he's under contract too. Teams aren't going to give into ridiculous demands.....especially a soon to be 34 yr defensive player.

Sorry, this is NOT Parcells fault. JT didn't want to be here anymore. But instead of telling the Tuna this, he went Hollywood. I don't care where JT ends up anymore. I have so much more respect for Zach than I do JT. JT crapped on us.

I agree Parcells has a big hand in this situation, but Im not mad at Parcells at all. at the very least, this will act as notice to everyone else in that locker room that if you are not 100% dedicated to the fish youre outta here. Star or not

Oh BS. JT is the selfish person who is in the wrong here. Not BP.

Really? Wheres JT and where's BP? Based on logistics alone, whose in better position to help this team? Did BP tell or make JT go to Calif? Was JT in a bubble completely shut off from the world the last 25 years while BP was running his highly successful system? JT made the "choice" to dance. BP made the choice to stay in Miami and make this team better.

I think it's clear just based on the facts, that BP is doing what he should be doing to make this team better and JT is doing what he is doing to make himself a better dancer and actor. I don't know how anyone can see the two and determine JT is a victim in any way shape or form.

You want the reality of the situation, here it is:

Parcells saw how JT lead the team on a revolt last year against Cameron, which started with Cameron not ackowledging JT's presence the minute he go here, which was the first indication that the guy is a sham of a team leader and completely full of ****.

Parcells wants to make sure the same thing doesn't happen, and with Taylor constantly acting like the defacto HC, basically running his mouth in the media about everything, questioning front office moves, and acting as if the VERY LITTLE he has accomplished here somehow affords him the right to do whatever he wants regarding the team.

Well, there's finally someone here that doesn't buy into the idea of handling certain players with kid gloves, and JT doesn't like it, so instead of sticking around and doing what everyone above him tells him to do, he'd rather leave.

Any Dolfan with even a semblence of free thought should've seen this coming a mile away.
