strong front 7,you could almost say jp is the lt of this defense getting lined up in various positions to reak havoc, good o line, not a real big name wr, 3 rb's that could get the job done, not a real big name qb, both teams almost mirror one another. thoughts

WHAT? offensively maybe, solid vet QB, good running game but they relied on Joe Morris not multiple RBs, no WRs but you don't have a Bavaro either or an OL as good as them. On Defense where is the LT? Lt was probably the best defensive player in the history of the game. Porter is very good, he's nowhere near LT and can you expect a repeat of his great '08 season? I understand the optimism but comparing this team to the '86 giants is very unfair.

By the way, parcells is involved in the team but he's not coaching them and he has helped put them together. This isn't a Parcells team- it's an Ireland-Sparano team and w/o Parcells coaching you are lucky it's not a Parcells team.

I gotta agree here, I think it is a little early to make any such comparison.

the front seven is decent but could be better, I guess Cameron Wake is the real deal otherwise no way we dont draft a OLB. and our secondary is now a strengh, 3 good CBs and two above average safeties we shouldn't get taken advantage of like last season

You guys have awfully high expectations for Cameron Wake. he may be for real but we eon't know until he proves it in the NFL.

My brother and father are huge giants fans and they would rip you apart for making such a comparison. Sorry but the truth. I have to agree with nyjunk on this one. LT was something. So was Bavaro.

How can you compare our LBs to the giants?? They had 4 great ones and we have Porter who is good at pass rushing and terrible at run stopping, Crowder who is average at run stopping and can't rush, and then Roth who is above average at setting the edge but can't cover or rush and then akin who is below average at everything. Wake is gonna be best at Porters spot and Walden who I have dreams of coming in a pushing out Akin. Our LBs are below average as a group. LBs and DT are the weakest areas of our team as of right now. Certainly not on pace with the 86 giants.

Well you are still alive! I thought you went away after we put the final nail in your 2008 season!!

the front office helped put such high expectations on him, we could have drafted Clay Mathews if we felt otherwise. because Roth is clearly not a starting OLB in this league and Wake was the only signing at OLB, he has all the physical tools i dont think you can agrue against that

So do you for "DIRTY SANCHEZ"

i dont see the hype with Sanchez i really don't just another product of the USC system, wasnt this guy a projected 2nd rounder months before the combine? i think he can be good in a game manager role

If this turns out to be true, what's not to like about it? :hi5:

just saying he's not the kinda guy i would put the game in his hands like Peyton Manning. he will be good if not asked to win a game by himself
