Am I the only one that thinks that the JT thing is a huge motivation tool for JT. Do you find it funny that JT was good as gone on Saturday but Miami pulled him from the trade blocks? Do you find it funny that the Tuna completely iognored the guy when he came to visit this week?
I get the feeling that Parcells is doing what Parcells do best. Get the best from his players. There is no way in the world that a team offere a 2nd rounder for a player that we plan to trade and we do not take it. I just get the feeling that JT is getting his cords pulled and Parcells is trying to get nthe guy to play at such a high level that he becomes POY again.
Just my 2 cents

We were offered a 4th not a 2nd that's why he wasn't traded

if we got anything close to what we wanted he was gone, you can take that to the bank, along with ur 2 cents lol

I certainly hope so because as it stands now I am not a fan of Bill Parcells.
I never was before and just because he's in Miami now doesnt instantly turn me.

Regardless of the opinions of what he has done in the past I dont like how he has handled things in Miami thus far.

If he's playing mind games and it works then I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Miami was 1-15 last year, I hope we can at least reach 8-8 AT THE MINIMUM, any thing less, a losing season is crap.

Personally I do not think that JT is that susceptible to Sophomoric psychological ploys.

BP is motivating Ricky Williams, but it is not school yard tricks its cold hard facts that he is using to light a fire under the rastafarians arse!

JT can and will be the one of the best players in the league in the CORRECT system. That system would be strong run stoppers and very aggressive pass rushers. We will be that so if we are stuck with him he will prosper.

We deserve a 1st for him and I think we will get it. All this crap about 34 years or age is ridiculous. Look a team only needs 1 superbowl win to be immortal - ask the 85 Bears. I don't care if a player is 24 like Merriman or 40 like Jr Seau the question is can you show up and play. Every player in the league is one play away from being done forever!

So if I am a true contender on my way and need a pure pass rusher who can tear it up I will risk a bit of my future and sign JT for my first.

He'll either tear it up in Miami where we will surprise the whole league, or we will move him on to a contender for a first - all the rest is bullocks!

No one knows where you are coming from with all this negativity towards BP. What planet are you on there brother?

You did not like him because he: Won 2 superbowls, turned around every franchise he touched, drafts quality tough players, does not buckle to the trickery and ploys of softees around the league? Or he is the Miami Dolphins GM? C'mon now get on board and sink or swim with the rest of us or join Irsay in Baltimore!

ANY Gm or head coach would be equally po'ed at JT.

It would be impossible for Parcells to be happy about JT dancing with the stars instead of working out with the team.

I remember Parcells got along great with another former Dolphin, Brian Cox. Can you imagine Brian on Dancing with the stars?

I think JT just isn't Parcells kind of player...

Prepare to be disappointed... we weren't 1-15 for no reason. 8-8 would be a miracle. This team is in shambles, and it's going to take time. Gosh, everyone expects a miracle cure. This no focus, no vision,short-sighted, instant gratification view that has sadly overtaken most areas of our society will not work on the football field.

I think only JT and Parcells really know what happened between them....saying that JT was upset or that there is some kind of bad blood between them is probably just speculation. The good thing is these guys seem to be willing to keep their issues "in house," unlike the drama queen (T.O.) who makes sure the media always hears when he is upset.

no.

i think all this JT VS. PARCCELLS stuff is a media creation.

parcells was asked if miami should get rid of jason taylor this year BEFORE
there was ANY contact about him coming to the dolphins and he said, "why would
you get rid of your best player? jason taylor is a GREAT player and last time i looked,
he was playing pretty damned good down there in miami". i just never understood
why teams would want to do that".

and he has stayed true to his word! hey, if the phone rings and teams inquire about
ANY player, you listen. and even though he has no plans to trade JT, bill knows
ANYTHING can happen for the right price. if someone comes in and lays a multi
player pic deal on them and its a team that is a contender, JT is traded! but bill
showed thats what it would take to get rid of such a valuable player.

the media and disgruntled fans are fanning that flame, nothing else!!

and yes, JT would not mind being traded to a contender team, expecially if that
team was in florida like the jags or bucs. but he is NOT going to be any cancer
or disruption in that locker room. winning games will take away any bad taste in taylors
mouth anyways. look how he came on last year with a SURE loser!! if this teams has
3-4 good wins under its belt by mid season, jason will be all smiles and will be having
fun again. i believe more than anything, jason taylor would LOVE to see miami on top
again.

I would believe that JT is plenty motivated enough to prove that he can contribute to a new system under a new regime at his age. If he needs some rookie-like motivation then we have problems as a team lol...i really dont know what exactly to believe anymore, but if hes angry, save that anger for the season against our opposition, we will need it...i would love to have JT wreak havoc on opposing qbs for us til he retires, but if he wants out as bad as its been rumored, we should definitely look into it.
