Enough with all the negativity on some of these draft picks. I am pretty sure everyone on this board (including myself) does not have the knowledge of a Bill Parcells. He is bringing in guys to fit his system, just like Belicheck. Guess where Belicheck learned that, BP!! So just relax, and lets see what happens. I think in the end, you will all be content with the direction this team is heading...

Yup. I called that this draft would focus on front 7. The draft next year will too. When you completely transform a D to a 3-4 you have to find players who have had experience in it till you hand pick the guys you want in the draft. Thats what Bill has done in FA and is doing in the draft. Next years draft will be all about front 7 too. He just dosent place a premium on secondary and we are actually better off there than most seem to think.

Offensively its all about your OL and QB. He never has placed a premium on RB and WR. We already have a good back and in reality there are tons of backs to be had everywhere with plenty of talent. If you run block well there are plenty of guys capable of getting good yardage with the ball. We have the big physical WR he likes that we got in FA to make tough 3rd down catches and move the chains and last year we drafted a guy top 10 that can make the big plays down the field on play action passing. Thats what his offense centers around....running the ball and play action passing.

People need to quit sweating CB and WR. We will be just fine there for now and those are positions where players are easy to find in FA. The draft is where he will build his core. The positions he sees as critical to victory, front 7, OL and QB. Look for alot of picks on the front 7 next year too until he gets all the guys who he sees as our starting front 7 in 2-3 years when we make our run. The OL is pretty much taking shape and should be set. Still I think he will take more either this year or next or both on OL.

I like the draft so far, i think we'll get at least a B as a grade, Lankford is a questionable pick but I really don't know the kid so the jury is out on that one, the rest are very good picks, you dont really know untl the pads come on, I mean Manny Wright looked like a big beast but he ended up having all these problems, size, strength and speed are important but you got to have HEART and a great atttudei or it ain't going to happen for you.

With all the bitching and moaning this board is doing, i would of thought at least half of them are GM's there self, or maybe scouts.


Just because Mel Fricking Kiper has a player highly rated, doesnt mean he is better then other players, If Mel Kiper was so damn good, he would already have a role with an NFL team.
