I took the day off work to watch the draft with a bunch of buddies of mine who are also fin fans (2 are Rams fans). We had everything planned out food, alcohol, more alcohol and a pool that we'd throw money into to see who got the first 2 picks right. Now with Miami signing Long it throws a kink in the system we had planned plus I'll be drunk by the time Miami surprises me with their next pick. Damn you Bill Parcells !!!:koolbang:
 
My sympathies. On the bright side, you know that Miami is going to be the first team they talk about. And the possible/probable trading of JT adds some intrigue, as well. Should we move back into the first, there we are again in the spotlight. We will be talked about, we will be on center stage, and we will be a major player. Count on it, and enjoy the party.
 
Ahh the anxiety is over though! We still have what, 450 more picks in the draft? Those are the pics that excite me more.
 
I feel your pain man. I was having a lil something at my place too but now I am probably just going to push it back till about 5:00. This way it gives you a couple hours till the Fins possible pick. You will still get all the intrigue of trading back into the 1st round, or trading back to get more picks. Maybe we make a deal with Philly involving JT & Lito Sheppard somewhere in the middle of the 1st round. Who knows, like Myles Fynch said, we are going to be in the forefront and major players all day Saturday
 
I'm kinda glad we know our 1st pick already. Since I live in PST, I don't have to wake up @ 5:45am anymore. I can actually sleep in and watch NFLN whenever I wake up and catch up on what I missed.
 
Just spend the time making fun of the rams fans. Regardless of how many SB's they've won, they're still the rams.
 
I'm sure there will be a lot of interviews with Long, Sparano, Ireland, etc and discussion on what type of player Long will be. Plus, there's always that scene where he puts on a Dolphins jersey for the first time.
 
Plus you get to make fun of the Jets who will draft Kyle Brady Jr. over Glenn Dorsey, Vernon Gholston and Chris Long.
 
You know zackattack you could do a pool to see who gets the most top ten picks right, which could be pretty tricky and bring back some of the fun back to that party for the first hour of the draft while you wait for the next dolphins pick cause im pretty sure thats what we're going to do at my draft party.

Just wondering...what does everybody have planned for their draft parties to pass the time?
 
What do you mean pass the time? Am I the only one that genuinely enjoys watching every minute of the draft, Dolphins pick or not?
 
How about you and your friends change the pool to say something like:

Who will the Jets pick.

My advice is putting your money on a tight end. :lol:
 
I like having everyone predict the next pick, and keep a running tally. It gets really interesting in rounds 2 or 3, where getting the position right can earn you a 1/2 point.
 
F&*@&# that.. me and my friends are still gonig to have a party. GO DOLPHINSSS!!!
