Porter also said that Dolphins vice president of football operations Bill Parcells assured him that he would be returning next season so Porter paid no attention to the recent rumors that had Parcells exercising the escape clause from his contract when H. Wayne Huizenga sells the majority share of the franchise to Stephen Ross.

"He told me he was going nowhere so I took the man for his word, so I never [got] caught up into it,'' Porter said.

Him leaving would not be good for us. Especially what he brings to the table when it comes to the draft. He knows football and really has a good eye for talent. We need this guy on draft day.
