Its only the start of getting hyped up on undrafted free agents. Especially Wide Receivers and Running Backs. Great numbers, great practice, its the NFL and its summertime. While I completely understand how ridiculous it can get. (a) What else is there to ***** about (b) Parcells actually has an interesting history with UDFA's.

with Dallas the following players all made the roster and contributed. Some more than others, but they were on the 53 man roster and saw playing time.

Patrick Crayton - Northwest Oklahoma St (WR) - 7th round
Terrence Copper - East Carolina (WR) - UFA
Sam Hurd - Northern Illinois (WR) - UFA
Tyson Thompson - San Jose State (RB) - UFA
Oliver Hoyte - Nc State (WR) - UFA
Lousaka Polite - Pittsburgh (WR) - UFA

Last year it was all about David Sutton. We all moaned about not drafting a receiver. Maybe Parcells wants to bring in UDFA's and put together a cheap squad. Maybe he only finds value in drafting top receivers when they're legit elite talents (Keyshawn Johnson, Terry Glenn) Not guys like Devin Thomas and James Hardy.

I did. I agree with what you are saying too. I would much rather haqve depth and talent on the lines in this draft, because then when you put the WRs in, they have more time to get open and make plays.

Good job on the research and point taken. Let's hope there are a couple of gems in the group.

This is good news. I am really looking forward to seeing some of our UDFA on our team and see how they do.

I think Bess can contribute right off the bat on special teams. Have you guys watched his highlight video? Pretty quick and elusive if you ask me...

Foster has a better shot at making the roster than Bess

Jephery, Hoyte and Polite are actually fullbacks, not wide receivers. Incidentally, Hoyte was signed as a linebacker, his college position, and was switched to fullback after Fasano had trouble with his blocking duties when he was in there early in the 2006 campaign.

Good compilation of names though, thanks for the research.

Terry was the player he and NE ownership got into it about. Parcells wanted someone else and that pick inevitably left Parcells leaving the team.

You left out the big one, Tony Romo, lol.

I probably left out a bunch, I was only looking for Wide Receivers and Runningback/Fullbacks because that seems to be the players we've been discussing. Our late round drafts (parmalee/hilliard) and ufda receivers (bess/reese).

Forgot about that. Good point.

There is no way Foster has a better chance to make the team better then Bess. Bess was an awesome reciever for the Warriors, the guy lead the team in catches, yards and TD. He broke record in Recieving and can return Kicks. Foster is good too, but he is undersized QB and is lite years behind what Bess has done at WR.

I think a WR would have to be the best player in the draft for Bill to spend a 1st round pick on one. Parcells and co do have a nack for developeing WR's even if they aren't rated very high in the drafts.
